Artworks London Stone Collection

Yes, London Stone wall tiles are an excellent choice for bathrooms, including wet areas such as splash zones, shower walls, and basin surrounds. These tiles are made from glazed ceramic, which offers a smooth, non-porous surface ideal for environments exposed to water and humidity. The warm grey tone of the London Stone glaze introduces a softer alternative to stark white, helping to create a more relaxing and inviting bathroom environment without sacrificing brightness or practicality. The glossy finish not only adds visual depth and sophistication but also reflects light effectively, making smaller bathrooms feel more spacious. Because these tiles form part of the wider Artworks collection, you also have access to coordinated trims, mouldings, and skirting pieces — perfect for crafting half-height walls or traditionally styled bathrooms with a dado rail or framed splashback. For wet areas, we recommend using moisture-resistant grout and an adhesive designed for tiled walls in high-humidity settings. At Hyperion Tiles, we frequently suggest the London Stone collection to clients who want a subtle, character-rich look that brings calm and elegance to bathrooms, while offering dependable performance and minimal maintenance over time.

Absolutely — the London Stone wall tile collection is well-suited for kitchen splashbacks, cooker surrounds, or decorative wall features thanks to its practical surface and timeless appearance. The warm grey glaze strikes a perfect balance between subtlety and visual interest, offering a neutral backdrop that pairs beautifully with a wide range of cabinetry finishes and worktop materials. Whether your kitchen is contemporary, classic, or transitional, London Stone brings an added layer of warmth and refinement. Its high-gloss ceramic surface is resistant to moisture, grease, and everyday kitchen splashes, making it easy to clean and maintain — a simple wipe with a soft cloth and mild detergent will keep it looking its best. In terms of styling, this tile works exceptionally well with painted cabinetry in white, navy, cream or charcoal, and also complements natural stone, marble, or wooden worktops. The availability of matching trims and mouldings also makes it easy to achieve a more built-in, professionally finished look, especially around corners, windows or under wall units. At Hyperion Tiles, we recommend London Stone for homeowners looking to move beyond plain white or bold colours in the kitchen, offering a sophisticated alternative that remains understated and timeless.

No, London Stone tiles do not require sealing, which makes them a low-maintenance option for both kitchens and bathrooms. These are glazed ceramic wall tiles with a durable, non-porous surface, meaning they naturally resist moisture, staining, and everyday wear without the need for additional treatments. The glossy glaze acts as a protective barrier, preventing the absorption of dirt or liquids, and making it easy to clean with a soft cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner. There’s no need for sealing before or after installation, which simplifies the fitting process and makes ongoing care far easier than with natural stone or unglazed ceramic tiles. Although the surface is resilient, we recommend avoiding abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can dull the gloss finish over time. In areas like kitchens or bathrooms, where tiles may be exposed to water or cooking splashes, simply wiping them down regularly will keep them in excellent condition. When installed with a suitable grout — ideally mould-resistant in humid settings — London Stone tiles retain their rich colour and shine for many years. At Hyperion Tiles, we recommend this collection for its timeless appeal and hassle-free upkeep, making it a great choice for busy homes.

Yes, one of the most distinctive features of the Artworks London Stone collection is the inclusion of coordinating trims, mouldings, and skirting pieces, all glazed in the same warm grey tone. These accessories allow for a complete and polished installation, offering both aesthetic refinement and practical edge finishing. Dado rails and cornices can be used to cap half-height tile installations in bathrooms or cloakrooms, while skirting tiles help transition neatly from tiled walls to flooring. Rope and egg-and-dart mouldings can also be incorporated for more decorative or period-style designs, ideal for Victorian or Edwardian homes. External corner pieces help ensure a neat finish where two tiled walls meet, which is particularly useful in alcoves, around windows, or in recessed areas. Using these trims gives your tiling a more integrated, architectural feel, elevating the design from functional coverage to a crafted and detailed scheme. At Hyperion Tiles, we often assist clients in selecting and calculating the right quantity of trims and mouldings for their space, helping ensure the final result is cohesive and professionally finished — whether you're working on a modern renovation or a characterful period home.

London Stone is one of the most versatile colours in the Artworks range, offering a warm grey tone that pairs beautifully with a wide variety of styles and colour palettes. In traditional interiors, it works seamlessly with classic fittings like brass or brushed nickel, period-style sanitaryware, and natural materials such as marble or stone. The warm glaze also complements painted cabinetry in timeless tones like cream, sage, and navy, making it a strong choice for kitchens or utility rooms. In more modern settings, London Stone tiles can be paired with matte black fixtures, pale oak or walnut accents, and minimalist cabinetry for a more understated, Scandinavian-inspired look. The gloss finish adds light and depth, which prevents the grey from feeling too flat or cold — ideal for rooms that need a little extra warmth without introducing bold colour. For an elevated design, London Stone also sits well alongside other Artworks tiles, such as a white or ivory contrast, framed with matching mouldings for a classically tailored aesthetic. At Hyperion Tiles, we often recommend this colour to clients seeking a neutral that goes beyond plain white, offering subtle character and timeless adaptability across a variety of home styles.
