A Light Touch of Detail: Artworks Vintage White Scroll Moulding 152 x 29mm

A slender 152 x 29mm ceramic moulding with a rolled scroll relief, in a warm creamy white — from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

The Scroll is one of the quieter voices in the Artworks range. Its rolled profile gives a wall a soft, continuous curve and a fine shadow line — enough character to feel considered, never enough to dominate a small room.

It is at its best in company. Set it above the Rope or below the Hogarth and the two profiles read as a single built-up moulding, in the way a joiner would layer timber to make a cornice. Used alone at dado height in a cloakroom, it does the job with complete discretion.

Installation & care

Installation & care

  • Adhesive & Grout: A white flexible tile adhesive keeps the glaze warm; grout to match the field tiles and wipe the scroll clean before the grout sets.
  • Layout: If you are layering two profiles, dry-lay a short section first to check the combined height sits comfortably against your field tile courses.
  • Cleaning: No sealing required. Warm water and a mild detergent, with a soft brush for the rolled detail; avoid abrasive pads.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Scroll moulding best used?

It is a slim 29mm profile carrying a rolled scroll relief. It works on its own at dado height for a light touch of period detail, but comes into its own layered with a deeper profile such as the Rope or Hogarth, building a richer moulded band from two or three pieces.

How is the Scroll moulding sold?

By the box of 4 pieces, covering 0.6 linear metres at 6.6 pieces per linear metre. Measure your run, add roughly 10% for cuts and mitres, then divide by 0.6.

Will Vintage White match across the different Artworks shapes and mouldings?

Every Artworks piece is finished in the same Vintage White glaze, so field tiles, half tiles, mouldings, skirtings and corners are designed to be used together. As with any glazed ceramic there can be slight variation between production batches, so we recommend ordering everything for a scheme at the same time.

What adhesive and grout do you recommend for Artworks ceramic tiles?

Always use a white flexible tile adhesive — a grey adhesive can shadow through a white glaze and dull it. Allow a 2-3mm joint and choose a white grout for a seamless, luminous wall, or a soft grey to draw the eye to the layout.

Can I see a sample before I order?

Yes. Cut samples are free to collect from our Ascot showroom, or we can post one to you for the cost of postage. Seeing the glaze in your own light is the surest way to judge how it will sit against your paint, stone and metalwork.
