The colour is not a pigment

All 31 products here are iridescent, and that iridescence is a structural property of the shell rather than a finish laid on top of it. Nacre is built from microscopic layers that split light and recombine it, so the colour you see depends entirely on where you are standing and where the light is coming from. Take two steps and a panel that read as pale grey turns green, or pink.
