Fired Earth offers several high-quality finishes to suit different surfaces. The most popular is Matt Emulsion, which provides a beautiful, chalky finish for interior walls and ceilings. For high-traffic areas, woodwork, or kitchen cabinetry, we recommend Eggshell, which has a slight sheen and is highly durable and wipeable. We also stock specialised Floor Paint for a tough, decorative finish on wooden or concrete floors.

Yes, but choosing the right finish is essential. For bathroom and kitchen walls that may be exposed to moisture or steam, we recommend using the Eggshell finish. It is more resistant to condensation and easier to clean than standard Matt Emulsion. For kitchen splashbacks, many customers pair Fired Earth paint with our Fired Earth Kitchen Tiles for maximum protection and style.

For the best depth of colour and a professional finish, we typically recommend two coats. Fired Earth paint is richly pigmented, offering excellent coverage; however, if you are painting a very light colour over a dark wall, a third coat or a dedicated primer may be required to achieve the true shade.

When using Fired Earth Floor Paint on wooden or concrete floors with underfloor heating, it is important to ensure the heating is turned off during application and the drying process.
