The Definitive Dado: Artworks Ivory Victoria Moulding

A deeply moulded 152 x 75mm ceramic dado rail in a soft cream with a cool grey undertone — the Artworks Ivory Victoria Moulding, from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

The Victoria is the boldest profile in the Artworks range and the one that most clearly signals a period scheme. Its stepped, generously curved section catches light along its whole length, so a dado run reads as architecture rather than decoration.

Set at traditional dado height it divides a wall convincingly — a deeper colour below, Ivory above, or the reverse. Because Ivory's shadow falls grey rather than gold, the profile reads crisply even in a very pale scheme. Dedicated corner pieces are not stocked in Ivory, so external corners are mitred on site.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Additional supplier returns have their own eligibility rules, charges and exclusions. These do not override statutory cancellation rights or rights for faulty goods. See our refund policy and supplier return guidance before arranging a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Victoria moulding used for?

It is a dado-height moulding — a deeply profiled band run horizontally across a tiled wall, either to cap a half-height field of tiles or to divide two different colours or formats. At 75mm deep it is the boldest of the Artworks dado profiles.

How is the Victoria moulding sold, and how do I turn a corner?

By the box of 4 pieces, covering 0.6 linear metres at 6.6 pieces per linear metre. Dedicated Victoria corner pieces are not stocked in Ivory, so external corners are mitred on site — allow a little extra material and ask your tiler to cut the mitres carefully, as the profile is deep. Call us if you would like us to check availability with Original Style.

Will Ivory match across the different Artworks shapes and mouldings?

Every Artworks piece is finished in the same Ivory glaze, so field tiles, half tiles, mouldings and the skirting are designed to be used together. As with any glazed ceramic there can be slight variation between production batches, so we recommend ordering everything for a scheme at the same time.

Can Artworks Brilliant White tiles be used in a shower or wet room?

Yes. Artworks is specified for both wet and dry wall areas, so it is at home in a shower enclosure, a wet room or around a bath. The background must be sound, dry and properly tanked, and a flexible waterproof adhesive and grout should be used throughout the wet zone.

Can I see a sample before I order?

Yes. Cut samples are free to collect from our Ascot showroom, or we can post one to you for the cost of postage. Seeing the glaze in your own light is the surest way to judge how it will sit against your paint, stone and metalwork.

Installation & Care Tips

Installation & care

  • Adhesive & Grout: Fix with a white flexible tile adhesive — a grey adhesive can shadow through the glaze — and grout in a soft off-white or pale stone tone. On a relief profile, keep grout off the face of the moulding and clean up promptly, as it is far harder to remove from the recesses once set.
  • Layout: Set the moulding out first and work the field tiles to it, so the line runs true and any cuts fall out of eyeline. Measure the run in linear metres and allow extra for mitred corners.
  • Cleaning: The gloss glaze is non-porous and needs no sealing. Wipe with warm water and a mild detergent; avoid abrasive pads and acidic limescale removers, which will dull the surface over time.
PLAN IT ONCE. KEEP IT TOGETHER.
