The Classic Brick Format: Artworks Brilliant White Half Tile 152 x 76mm

The 152 x 76mm brick that built a century of bathrooms and sculleries, in a clean gloss white — the Artworks Brilliant White Half Tile, from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

Half the height of the traditional Artworks square, this slim brick is the format that gives a wall its rhythm. Laid in a running bond it is quietly classical; stacked vertically it becomes crisp and contemporary; run in herringbone it turns a splashback into the focal point of a kitchen. The straight edge keeps the surface flat and calm, letting the glaze rather than the profile do the work.

The Brilliant White glaze is deep and translucent, breaking the light slightly differently across each tile so a large expanse never reads as flat or clinical. It sits equally well behind a Belfast sink, above a roll-top bath or across a full shower enclosure, and pairs with every moulding, skirting and corner in the Artworks range.

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

How many boxes of Brilliant White Half Tiles will I need?

Each box contains 44 tiles and covers 0.50m², at 86 tiles per square metre. Work out your wall area in square metres, add about 10% for cutting, then divide by 0.50 to give the number of boxes.

Is the Half Tile the same as a metro tile?

It is the classic 152 x 76mm brick format that metro tiling is built on, but with a straight rather than bevelled edge. That gives a flatter, more understated wall. If you would prefer the shadow line of a bevel, our Brilliant White Metro Bevelled tile offers the same glaze in a bevelled body.

Can Artworks Brilliant White tiles be used in a shower or wet room?

Yes. Artworks is specified for both wet and dry wall areas, so it is at home in a shower enclosure, a wet room or around a bath. The background must be sound, dry and properly tanked, and a flexible waterproof adhesive and grout should be used throughout the wet zone.

Are Artworks tiles suitable for floors?

No. Artworks is a glazed ceramic wall tile, specified for internal walls only. If you would like a floor to sit alongside it, our team can suggest a porcelain or encaustic-effect tile that complements Brilliant White and carries the wear rating a floor requires.

How much extra should I order for cuts and wastage?

As a guide, add around 10% to your measured area for cuts and breakages, and nearer 15% for a herringbone, diagonal or brick-bond layout. It is also worth keeping a few spare tiles from the same batch in case a repair is ever needed.

Installation & Care Tips

Installation & care

Adhesive & Grout: Use a white flexible tile adhesive to keep the glaze bright, with a white grout for a seamless wall or a soft grey to draw out the brick pattern.
Layout: Allow a 2-3mm joint. For a running bond, set out from a centre line so the cuts at each end match; for herringbone, order nearer 15% extra to allow for the additional cutting.
Cleaning: The gloss glaze needs no sealing. Clean with warm water and a mild detergent, and keep acidic limescale removers and abrasive pads away from the surface.
