Original Style Borders, Mouldings & Finishing Pieces

Original Style is one of the few makers that still produces a full set of finishing pieces in every colourway. It is what lets a period scheme turn a corner, meet a floor or stop at a dado without a modern plastic trim — and it is usually the detail that gives lesser work away.

Mouldings, borders and where they go

The Artworks architectural mouldings — Albert, Victoria, Scroll, Astragal, Rope, Omega, Egg & Dart and Dentil — run horizontally as a dado or picture rail, or vertically to frame a panel. Skirting tiles close the bottom of a wall against the floor. External wrapping pieces and corner tiles carry a glaze around a reveal or a return. Victorian floor borders and corners frame a geometric floor and set its proportions.

Every piece is glazed ceramic, made in Original Style's Devon factory, and matched to the same colour palette as the field tiles — so a scheme can be specified as a whole rather than assembled from whatever fits.
