Product story
The Dado Cap At Chair-Back Height
At chair-back height, where a wall takes most of its punishment, a 152 x 40mm capping in glossy mid-blue earns its place several times over: the Artworks Windsor Blue Albert Moulding, from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.
The Albert is a stepped capping, 40mm deep, made to sit at the top of a half-height run and close it properly. The step gives the tiling a defined top edge and a small shadow line where it meets the wall above, while the face below stays plain and continuous, so a cloth runs along it without catching on anything.
Chair-back height is the working height of a wall — boot rooms, cloakrooms, utility rooms, the wall behind a bench — and it is exactly where paint and plaster get scuffed. A glazed ceramic cap takes that wear instead and cleans off with warm water and a mild detergent. Windsor Blue is a rich mid-blue with no strong cast in either direction, which keeps the decision above the dado genuinely open: white, a soft stone colour or a paper all sit with it, and none of them has to be chosen to rescue the blue.

Delivery
In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.
Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.
When your order arrives
Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.
Returns
To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.
Additional supplier returns have their own eligibility rules, charges and exclusions. These do not override statutory cancellation rights or rights for faulty goods. See our refund policy and supplier return guidance before arranging a return.

Installation & Care Tips
Installation & care
- Adhesive & Grout: Fix with a white flexible adhesive. Two grout routes work here. White gives you the blue-and-white pairing English decoration has run on for centuries, sharp and graphic — accept in exchange that every joint is on show and that the setting-out has to be precise. Or take a soft mid-grey, marginally lighter than the glaze, which lets the blue carry the run and keeps the jointing discreet. A warm beige or greige is the one to refuse; it sullies a clean mid-blue. Buff away any haze before it dries on the glaze.
- Layout: Fix the cap on a level line at chair-back height — around 900mm from the finished floor is usual — and check that line across the whole run before the adhesive takes hold. Where the dado reaches an outside corner, use the external corner trim, a 152 x 30mm piece supplied four to a box, which presents a glazed face on the angle rather than a cut edge.
- Cleaning: The gloss glaze is non-porous and needs no sealing. Wipe with warm water and a mild detergent; avoid abrasive pads and acidic limescale removers, which will dull the surface over time.
