Evoke the comfort of roasted spices and toasted timber with Goodrich Spiced Oak—a 15mm engineered herringbone floor that combines deep, reddish-brown warmth with the raw beauty of an extra-rustic grade.

Goodrich Spiced Oak is designed for those who want their floor to tell a story. The "Spiced" finish captures the toasted tones of dark roasted spices, offering a rich palette of cocoa, cinnamon, and deep oak. Unlike cleaner grades, this floor is "Extra Rustic," celebrating the tree's natural history with large knots, dark fillers, and splits that add authentic heritage charm. To preserve this organic feel, the blocks are finished with five coats of Hardwax Oil. This traditional treatment penetrates the wood rather than coating it, leaving a breathable, satin surface that feels as warm and natural as it looks.

Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

What makes this "Spiced" Oak?

Spiced Oak features a rich, warming colour palette reminiscent of toasted spices—think cinnamon, cocoa, and deep auburn. It is darker and redder than the golden Natural Oak, but warmer and more rustic than the cool Coffee Oak.

What is "Extra Rustic" grade?

This grade embraces the full character of the oak tree. You should expect large knots (up to 30mm+), dark filler where knots have been repaired, splits, and significant colour variation between planks. These aren't defects; they are intentional features that give the floor its "antique" look.

How do I maintain Hardwax Oil?

Unlike lacquer, which sits on top, Hardwax Oil penetrates the wood. This means you should clean it with a specialist wood soap that "feeds" the oil. The huge benefit is that if you get a scratch, you can sand just that small area and re-oil it, blending it in seamlessly—something you can't do with lacquered floors.

Does this flooring need to acclimatise?

Yes. Engineered wood is a natural product. You should store the packs (unopened) in the room where they will be laid for at least 48-72 hours before installation. This allows the wood to adjust to the temperature and humidity of your home.

Installation & Care Tips

⚠️ Professional Installation Tips

Fitting Method: Goodrich blocks feature T&G joints. While they can be floated, we strongly recommend a full surface bond (glue-down) installation for the most solid feel and to minimise movement in this rustic grade timber.
Underfloor Heating: Compatible with UFH. A full glue-down installation is required to ensure efficient heat transfer and board stability.
Maintenance: This floor is Oiled. You should use a liquid wax cleaner (like Woodpecker One Coat Soap) to clean and nourish the floor. Do not use standard detergents that strip oil.
