While herringbone blocks meet at a right angle, Goodrich Chevron planks are precision-cut at a 45-degree angle to create a continuous "V" shape. This arrow-like pattern draws the eye down the room, creating a sense of flow and exceptional elegance. The "Raw" finish uses a specialised invisible matt lacquer that protects the oak without darkening it, preserving the soft, chalky tones of freshly sawn timber. With a substantial 4mm real oak wear layer and a brushed surface that highlights the organic grain, this floor offers the grandeur of a French parquetry floor with the durability required for modern living.

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Chevron and Herringbone?

In a Herringbone floor, the planks are rectangular and meet at a 90-degree angle (like a zig-zag). In a Chevron floor (like this one), the ends of the planks are cut at a 45-degree angle so they meet point-to-point, creating a continuous "V" shape or arrow pattern. Chevron is generally considered more formal and modern.

Is the "Raw" finish unsealed?

No. "Raw" refers to the look, not the protection. It uses a specialised matt lacquer that is almost invisible, so the wood looks like bare timber. However, it is fully sealed and protected against spills and stains.

Does this require a border?

Chevron floors often look best with a border around the perimeter of the room to frame the pattern, but it is not strictly necessary. If you do use a border, you will need to allow extra material for the cuts.

⚠️ Professional Installation Tips

Precision Fitting: Chevron flooring requires precise alignment to ensure the "V" points remain straight. We strongly recommend using a professional fitter with experience in parquet.
Method: Goodrich Chevron uses a Tongue & Groove system. For the best stability and sound reduction, we recommend a full surface bond (glue-down) installation.
Underfloor Heating: This floor is ideal for use with UFH systems. Glue-down installation is required for optimum heat transfer and performance.
