Italian porcelain, built around scale and precision.

We are an official UK stockist of the full Minoli range, with the technical side covered - low water absorption for showers and wet rooms, R-ratings for exterior use, and matched interior and 20mm exterior pairs where a scheme crosses a threshold. Free cut samples on eligible tiles, and free UK delivery on orders over £1,000.

What rectified actually buys you

Every edge is machined square after firing, so tiles butt up with a 2mm joint instead of the 3-5mm a pressed edge needs. Across a large floor that is the difference between a surface and a grid. It is also why Minoli suits open-plan spaces, wall-to-floor bathroom schemes and anywhere the eye should travel rather than stop.

Four looks, and where each belongs

Marble effect - Calacatta, Marvel and Cosmopolitan give you the veining and the depth without the sealing, the etching or the anxiety about a glass of wine. Browse the Marble effect range.

Stone effect - Boost Stone, Bravestone and Cumbria: quiet limestone and travertine character, and the frost-resistant 20mm versions carry the same floor onto a terrace. See Stone effect tiles.

Concrete effect - Beton, Clay, Codec and Flux, for interiors that want flat, even, architectural surfaces rather than movement. Shop Concrete effect tiles.

Wood effect - Etic, Heartwood and the Tree ranges: grain and warmth that work over underfloor heating and in bathrooms, where real timber does not. Explore Wood look tiles.

If your scheme runs outside, the same faces come in frost-resistant 20mm pavers - see Outdoor porcelain paving.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are rectified tiles, and why does Minoli use them?

Rectified tiles are tiles that have been precisely ground and machined to ensure they are all exactly the same size with perfectly straight edges. Minoli offers many rectified ranges, including Marvel and Calacatta Blanco, which allow for very thin grout joints (as small as 2mm), resulting in a much cleaner and more modern seamless appearance.

Are Minoli tiles suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, Minoli offers a wide range of 20mm thick porcelain pavers specifically designed for external use, including frost-proof versions of the Boost and Bravestone ranges. These Outdoor Floor Tiles are frost-proof and feature higher slip-resistance ratings, making them perfect for terraces and garden paths.

Can I use Minoli tiles with underfloor heating?

Absolutely. All Minoli porcelain tiles are excellent conductors of heat. They are highly efficient when used with both electric and water-based underfloor heating systems, providing a warm and comfortable surface during colder months. Large-format ranges like Beton and Etic are particularly popular for underfloor heating installations.

How do I maintain my Minoli porcelain tiles?

Porcelain is incredibly low maintenance. Because it is non-porous, it doesn't require sealing. Regular sweeping and mopping with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner is all that is needed to keep the tiles looking like new, whether you've chosen a Marble effect or Concrete effect finish.

What is the difference between Minoli porcelain and standard ceramic tiles?

Minoli porcelain is fired at a much higher temperature than standard ceramic, making it denser, stronger, and less absorbent. This makes it suitable for high-traffic floors and outdoor environments, whereas standard Wall Tiles are typically lighter and best suited for vertical surfaces.

Can Minoli tiles work in a period or traditional home?

Minoli is built for calm, architectural interiors rather than pattern or hand-made variation, so it suits open-plan floors, contemporary kitchens and bathrooms best. If you're restoring a period property and want hand-made character instead, our Original Style and Fired Earth ranges are a better starting point.

About Minoli

Minoli is the Italian porcelain specialist in our catalogue. Of the 304 products we stock, 270 are porcelain - this is not a brand that dabbles in it. If you want a large-format floor that behaves predictably in a busy house, this is usually where we start.

Rectified edges, and what they let you do

Most Minoli formats are rectified: machined to an exact dimension after firing, so they can be laid with a joint of 2-3mm instead of 5mm or more. Across an open-plan floor that is the difference between a surface and a grid. It also raises the standard required of the sub-floor and the fitter, because a narrow joint has no room to absorb error.

Effect tiles that hold up close

Marble, concrete and stone effects live or die on how many face variations a range carries. A tile with four faces repeats visibly across a large room; a well-made range has far more. Minoli's printing is among the better examples, and the surface texture generally follows the printed veining rather than running independently of it - which is what stops it reading as a photograph underfoot. See the Marble effect and Stone effect ranges.

Large format and underfloor heating

Porcelain is dense and conducts well, so it suits underfloor heating better than almost anything else. Large formats need a flat substrate, the right adhesive and, over timber, usually a decoupling layer. Tell us the build-up when you order and we will make sure the fixing products match the tile. Popular large-format choices include Beton and Marvel.

Where Minoli fits, and where it does not

It is the right answer for open-plan floors, kitchens, bathrooms and anywhere that wants a calm, consistent surface. It is the wrong answer if you are restoring a Victorian hallway or want visible hand-made variation - for that, look at Original Style or the Fired Earth hand-decorated ranges instead.

Samples and advice

Eligible cut samples are free; other sample options may be paid. Postage starts from £4.99 per brand, with a fixed £4.99 credit on a qualifying £50+ tile order once per customer. With effect tiles it is worth comparing more than one face where available so you can see the face variation rather than one face. Free UK delivery on orders over £1,000. If your scheme runs outside as well as in, see our Outdoor porcelain paving for matching frost-resistant options.
