A Gentle S-Curve: Artworks Palladian Beige Sigma Moulding

A slim 152 x 26mm ceramic moulding with a soft S-shaped section in a warm stone beige — the Artworks Palladian Beige Sigma Moulding, from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

The sigma profile curves out and then back in, so light falls across it in two directions at once. The result is a narrow border with far more shadow than its width suggests.

It works as a cap to a half-tiled wall, a fine dado in a small cloakroom, or a border framing a run of decorated tiles. In a warm tone the curve holds a golden shadow rather than a grey one.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What shape is the Sigma moulding?

A slim, gently curved profile just 26mm deep. It gives a soft, rounded finish to the top of a tiled wall or acts as a fine dividing line between two areas of tiling, offering a lighter alternative to the deeper Albert or Victoria profiles.

How is the Sigma moulding sold?

By the box of 4 pieces, covering 0.6 linear metres at 6.6 pieces per linear metre. Measure the run to be finished, add around 10% for cuts and mitres, then divide by 0.6.

Will Palladian Beige match across the different Artworks shapes and mouldings?

Every Artworks piece is finished in the same Palladian Beige glaze, so field tiles, half tiles, mouldings and the skirting are designed to be used together. As with any glazed ceramic there can be slight variation between production batches, and a warm tone shows that variation a little more readily than a white, so we recommend ordering everything for a scheme at the same time.

Can Artworks Brilliant White tiles be used in a shower or wet room?

Yes. Artworks is specified for both wet and dry wall areas, so it is at home in a shower enclosure, a wet room or around a bath. The background must be sound, dry and properly tanked, and a flexible waterproof adhesive and grout should be used throughout the wet zone.

Can I see a sample before I order?

Yes. Cut samples are free to collect from our Ascot showroom, or we can post one to you for the cost of postage. Seeing the glaze in your own light is the surest way to judge how it will sit against your paint, stone and metalwork.

Installation & Care Tips

Installation & care

  • Adhesive & Grout: Fix with a white flexible tile adhesive and grout in a warm sand or putty tone rather than a brilliant white, which would fight the warmth of the glaze.
  • Layout: Set the moulding out first and work the field tiles to it, so the line runs true and any cuts fall out of eyeline. Measure the run in linear metres and allow a little extra for corners.
  • Cleaning: The gloss glaze is non-porous and needs no sealing. Wipe with warm water and a mild detergent; avoid abrasive pads and acidic limescale removers, which will dull the surface over time.
PLAN IT ONCE. KEEP IT TOGETHER.
