Introduce a sense of soft, sun-drenched character to your interior with the Maroc Ceramic Wool Tile by Ca' Pietra.

A definitive highlight of our Maroc Ceramic series (formerly known as Berber) is a sophisticated tribute to the ancient Moroccan Zellige tradition. This collection is expertly rated for internal floors and walls, providing a durable ceramic solution that combines artisanal charm with modern performance. The Wool colourway delivers a warm, oatmeal-toned palette, finished with a high-gloss glaze that shimmeringly reflects light across its characterfully undulated surface.

Crafted at a substantial 10mm thickness, these 9.9x9.9cm tiles feature a V4 high shading variation, ensuring that every installation captures a unique, handmade energy. Whether you are creating a cozy kitchen splashback or a prestigious, light-reflecting floor in a boutique bathroom, the Maroc series provides an authentic texture that is moisture-resistant and remarkably easy to maintain without the need for specialist sealing.

Installation & care

Installation & care

  • Grout: We recommend a 2-3mm grout joint. Warm neutral grout colours like Jasmine, Ivory, or Limestone will perfectly coordinate with the soft Wool tones.
  • Adhesive: Use a high-quality flexible ceramic tile adhesive. Ensure full bed coverage for floor installations to provide a permanent and robust bond.
  • Layout: To showcase the V4 variation, always blend tiles from multiple boxes during installation for a balanced, harmonious spread of tonal off-white hues.
  • Cleaning: Maintain the glossy surface with warm soapy water and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the long-term clarity of the ceramic glaze.
Samples

Tone, glaze and veining all read differently in your own light. Cut samples are free — sample postage is £4.99 (£8 for Original Style) and we refund it on tile orders over £50 with the code we email you. Our family-run team is happy to check quantities and finishes with you on 01344 620211.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What does the "Wool" colour look like in a large area?

The Wool colourway is a soft, warm neutral that sits between ivory and light oatmeal. Because it features a V4 variation rating, you will see a beautiful range of creamy tones across the installation. This prevents the surface from appearing flat and instead creates a textured, "shimmering" effect as the light hits the undulated surfaces of the individual tiles.

Is this ceramic tile durable enough for a bathroom floor?

Yes. While many decorative ceramic tiles are limited to wall use, the Maroc range is a high-performance ceramic suitable for internal residential floors. It is a popular choice for bathrooms, en-suites, and cloakrooms. The gloss finish is easy to wipe clean, and the undulated surface provides a subtle tactile quality that enhances the artisanal feel.

Do I need to seal these Zellige-effect tiles?

No. Unlike traditional handmade clay tiles or certain natural stones, the Maroc Ceramic range is glazed and non-porous. This means it does not require any specialist sealing upon installation or long-term maintenance sealants, making it a highly practical and low-maintenance choice for busy modern homes.
