Astragal is a slim Artworks moulding, a 152x21mm length with a plain half-round bead profile. It is a quieter detail than a capping piece: on its own it neatly finishes the edge of a tiled area, and run between courses it adds a fine raised line that breaks up a large wall of field tiles without taking up much height.

Original Style Artworks Astragal Moulding: 152x21mm Half-Round Bead
The bead is glazed in gloss and made in the full set of 23 Artworks colours. A contrasting line, such as Jet Black, Burgundy or Royal Blue against a pale field, gives a crisp outline, while a matching colour keeps the effect tonal and subtle. The specifications list it alongside the 152x152mm field tile and 152x76mm half tile. Boxes of 4 cover 0.6 linear metres, so a 3 metre run takes five boxes before any allowance for cuts. Like the other Artworks mouldings it is for internal walls, wet or dry, with no sealing required.
