A Longer, Warmer Line: Artworks Vintage White Large Brick 228 x 75mm

An elongated 228 x 75mm gloss ceramic brick in a soft creamy white that stretches a wall and calms a room — from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

Where the standard half tile is domestic and familiar, the Large Brick is architectural. The extra length reduces the number of vertical joints across a wall, so the eye travels along the surface rather than counting it — a simple trick that makes a narrow shower or a galley kitchen feel appreciably wider.

In Vintage White the effect is softer still: the warm, faintly creamy glaze takes the hard edge off a large expanse of tiling, so a full wall reads as mellow rather than clinical. Slightly thicker at 8mm, it has real presence in the hand.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Additional supplier returns have their own eligibility rules, charges and exclusions. These do not override statutory cancellation rights or rights for faulty goods. See our refund policy and supplier return guidance before arranging a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

How many Large Brick tiles come in a box?

Each box holds 15 tiles and covers 0.254m², at 59 tiles per square metre. Calculate your wall area, add around 10% for cuts, then divide by 0.254 to find the number of boxes required.

How does the 228 x 75mm format change the look of a wall?

The longer brick draws the eye sideways, so laid horizontally it makes a narrow room read as wider, while stacking it vertically lifts a low ceiling. It is also a generous format for herringbone, where the elongated proportion gives the pattern noticeably more movement than a standard brick.

Can Artworks Brilliant White tiles be used in a shower or wet room?

Yes. Artworks is specified for both wet and dry wall areas, so it is at home in a shower enclosure, a wet room or around a bath. The background must be sound, dry and properly tanked, and a flexible waterproof adhesive and grout should be used throughout the wet zone.

Are Artworks tiles suitable for floors?

No. Artworks is a glazed ceramic wall tile, specified for internal walls only. If you would like a floor to sit alongside it, our team can suggest a porcelain or encaustic-effect tile that complements Vintage White and carries the wear rating a floor requires.

How much extra should I order for cuts and wastage?

As a guide, add around 10% to your measured area for cuts and breakages, and nearer 15% for a herringbone, diagonal or brick-bond layout. It is also worth keeping a few spare tiles from the same batch in case a repair is ever needed.

Installation & Care Tips

Installation & care

  • Adhesive & Grout: A white flexible adhesive keeps the glaze clean; grout in a warm off-white for an uninterrupted wall or soft putty to emphasise the long horizontal line.
  • Layout: Allow a 2-3mm joint. On a long brick, a one-third rather than half offset keeps the bond looking deliberate and avoids lippage along the length.
  • Cleaning: No sealing required. Warm water and a mild detergent are all that is needed; avoid acidic limescale removers and abrasive pads.
