Product story

Softly Woven Light: Pietro Linen

Lay a floor as gentle and understated as fresh linen with this Italian-made modular porcelain from Hyperion Tiles.

Pietro Linen bathes rooms in pale, powdery beige with the delicately weathered surface of time-softened stone. Each pack weaves together four sizes — two 40 x 60cm, four 40 x 40cm, two 20 x 40cm and four 20 x 20cm pieces — into a classic modular pattern, while moderate V3 shade variation keeps the palette lively without ever shouting.

Made in Italy from 9mm glazed porcelain with a matt finish and PTV +36 slip resistance, it is designed for internal floors — a naturally light-enhancing choice for kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and relaxed living spaces.

Installation & care

Installation & care

  • Adhesive & Grout: Use a flexible porcelain adhesive with a limestone or ivory grout; a 3-5mm joint suits the modular flagstone character.
  • Layout Options: Follow the traditional modular (opus) pattern using all four sizes, drawing pieces from several packs to blend the shading.
  • Cleaning: A regular mop with warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner is all the care it needs; no sealing required.
Samples

Tone, glaze and veining all read differently in your own light. Cut samples are free — sample postage is £4.99 (£8 for Original Style) and we refund it on tile orders over £50 with the code we email you. Our family-run team is happy to check quantities and finishes with you on 01344 620211.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate how many Pietro Linen tiles I need?

Measure your floor area in square metres and divide by 1.44, as each pack of 12 modular pieces (two 40 x 60cm, four 40 x 40cm, two 20 x 40cm and four 20 x 20cm) covers 1.44m2, around 8.33 pieces per m2. Round up to whole packs and add 10% for cuts and wastage. For a second opinion, call us on 01344 620211.

Where can I use Pietro Linen?

Pietro Linen is designed for internal floors, so it suits kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and open-plan living spaces beautifully. Waxman list it for internal floor use only, so it is not recommended outdoors.

What is the finish and slip rating of Pietro Linen?

Pietro Linen has a matt glazed finish with a slip resistance of PTV +36 (shod) for confident everyday grip. Its moderate V3 shade variation means tiles vary gently in tone, giving the soft, lived-in look of reclaimed stone.

Can I order a sample of Pietro Linen?

Yes. A 15 x 15cm cut sample of Pietro Linen is free to collect from our family-run showroom at 67 High Street, Ascot, or we can post it to your door for a small postage charge, so you can check the linen-beige tones at home first.
