Adhesive & Grout: Use a high-quality flexible adhesive and a soft, tonal grout. Pair with the plain Alhambra field tiles for a seamless patterned wall.
Sealing: This is a crackle-glazed tile — seal the surface with a suitable glaze sealer before grouting to protect the fine crazing from staining, especially behind a hob or basin.
Cleaning: Wipe with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh or acidic products that can dull the glaze.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Fired Earth ranges are returned through Fired Earth’s own returns process, and special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

What makes Decor 2 different from Decor 1?

While both tiles share the same size and white glaze, the relief pattern is different. Decor 1 features a structured geometric lattice, whereas Decor 2 features a finer, more ornate star-burst motif. Decor 2 is often chosen for a softer, more decorative aesthetic.

Will a white pattern be visible on a white tile?

Yes. Because the pattern is physically raised (relief), it creates shadows in the grooves and catches highlights on the ridges. This creates a "tone-on-tone" effect that is sophisticated and visible without being visually loud.

Is this tile suitable for a shower?

Absolutely. Being glazed ceramic, it is completely waterproof and ideal for shower walls. We recommend using a matching white grout to maintain the seamless, architectural look of the relief pattern.

How do I clean the intricate grooves?

The high-gloss glaze makes the surface very smooth. A soft cloth and warm soapy water are all you need; the glaze prevents dirt and soap scum from bonding to the tile, even within the valleys of the pattern.

Do these tiles require sealing?

No. These are glazed ceramic tiles. The protective surface is fired on at high temperatures, making them non-porous and maintenance-free. No sealing is ever required.
