Product story

Delicate Moorish Detail: Alhambra White Decor 15 x 15cm

A soft chalky white Moorish motif on a 15 x 15cm decorative ceramic square, finished in a soft crackle glaze — Alhambra White Decor from Hyperion Tiles, your official Fired Earth stockist.

Inspired by the tilework of southern Spain, Alhambra pairs a hand-glazed ceramic body with a gently crazed, light-catching surface. The white is soft rather than stark — a gently creamy, chalky white that catches and returns the light, keeping a room feeling bright, calm and timeless.

Made in Spain in glazed ceramic, this 15 x 15cm decorative square carries an intricate Moorish-inspired motif — use it as a feature panel, a border, or scattered among the plain field tiles for a hand-crafted, patterned effect.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Additional supplier returns have their own eligibility rules, charges and exclusions. These do not override statutory cancellation rights or rights for faulty goods. See our refund policy and supplier return guidance before arranging a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

How visible is the pattern since it is a white tile?

The pattern is highly visible but subtle. Because it is a raised relief, light catches the edges and shadows form in the grooves. This creates a beautiful "tone-on-tone" effect where the geometric design reveals itself through texture rather than contrasting colour.

Does the raised pattern make it harder to clean?

No. The tile is finished in a high-gloss glaze that is non-porous and smooth. Dust and splashes can be wiped away easily with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. It is an excellent choice for kitchens and bathrooms where hygiene is paramount.

Can I intersperse these among the Alhambra White 22.5cm linear tiles?

Yes, you certainly can. While they are a different shape, they share the same glaze and thickness. Designers often use the 15x15cm decors as a central border or "carpet" feature surrounded by the linear 22.5cm tiles.

What grout is best for a textured white tile?

Most of our customers prefer a matching white grout. This allows the texture of the tile to be the star without being broken up by contrasting lines. However, if you want to emphasize the grid layout, a very light silver-grey grout can also work well.

Installation & Care Tips

Installation & care

Adhesive & Grout: Use a high-quality flexible adhesive and a soft, tonal grout. Pair with the plain Alhambra field tiles for a seamless patterned wall.
Sealing: This is a crackle-glazed tile — seal the surface with a suitable glaze sealer before grouting to protect the fine crazing from staining, especially behind a hob or basin.
Cleaning: Wipe with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh or acidic products that can dull the glaze.
