Inspired by the tilework of southern Spain, Alhambra pairs a hand-glazed ceramic body with a gently crazed, light-catching surface. The blue carries real depth — cobalt in shadow, brighter where the light falls — bringing a considered, Mediterranean warmth to kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and shower walls.

Made in Spain in glazed ceramic, this 15 x 15cm decorative square carries an intricate Moorish-inspired motif — use it as a feature panel, a border, or scattered among the plain field tiles for a hand-crafted, patterned effect.

Adhesive & Grout: Use a high-quality flexible adhesive and a soft, tonal grout. Pair with the plain Alhambra field tiles for a seamless patterned wall.
Sealing: This is a crackle-glazed tile — seal the surface with a suitable glaze sealer before grouting to protect the fine crazing from staining, especially behind a hob or basin.
Cleaning: Wipe with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh or acidic products that can dull the glaze.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Fired Earth ranges are returned through Fired Earth’s own returns process, and special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Are the patterns all the same?

Yes, the Alhambra Blue Decor 15x15cm tiles feature a single, consistent geometric relief pattern. This allows you to create large, repeating "carpet-style" designs on your walls with perfect alignment.

Is it difficult to clean a tile with a raised surface?

Not at all. Because these are high-gloss glazed ceramic, the surface is non-porous. A simple wipe with warm soapy water and a soft cloth is all that is needed. The glaze is very smooth, so dust and grease do not easily bond to it.

Can these be used as a floor tile?

No, these are strictly for interior wall use. The raised relief and high-gloss glaze would make them unsuitable and potentially slippery for floor applications.

What grout colour is best for patterned tiles?

We recommend a grout that matches the field tiles (usually a light grey or a matching blue). Using a high-contrast grout (like bright white) can sometimes make the geometric relief look too "busy," whereas a tonal grout allows the texture to do the talking.
