Adhesive & Grout: Use a high-quality flexible adhesive and a soft, tonal grout. Pair with the plain Alhambra field tiles for a seamless patterned wall.
Sealing: This is a crackle-glazed tile — seal the surface with a suitable glaze sealer before grouting to protect the fine crazing from staining, especially behind a hob or basin.
Cleaning: Wipe with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh or acidic products that can dull the glaze.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Fired Earth ranges are returned through Fired Earth’s own returns process, and special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

What is the difference between Decor 1 and Decor 2?

Decor 1 features a more structured, geometric lattice pattern. Decor 2 features a finer, more intricate star-burst and floral motif. Both share the same smoky grey glaze and 15x15cm size, allowing them to be used together for a eclectic "patchwork" look or separately for a more uniform aesthetic.

Does the texture make the tile harder to clean?

No. Because these tiles are high-gloss glazed ceramic, the surface is non-porous. Even though the pattern is raised, dirt and water simply sit on top of the glaze. A quick wipe with warm water and a soft cloth is all that is required.

Can these tiles be used as a kitchen splashback?

Yes, absolutely. They are heat-resistant and the glazed surface is ideal for kitchen environments where ease of cleaning is a priority.

What grout colour should I use?

For a sophisticated, tonal look, we recommend a light-to-mid grey grout that blends with the smoky glaze. If you wish to highlight the geometric star pattern more prominently, a cooler silver-grey grout is an excellent choice.

Do I need to seal the Alhambra Grey collection?

No. These are glazed ceramic tiles, meaning the protective glass-like surface is fired onto the tile. They do not require sealing or any specialist chemical maintenance.
