Egg and dart is the classical ornament of alternating ovals and pointed darts, and this Artworks moulding carries it in relief along a 152x65mm length. At 65mm it is much deeper than the Albert (40mm) and Astragal (21mm) mouldings, so it reads as a band of detail rather than a line. The face is fully glazed in gloss, which lets light pick out each egg and dart.

Use it as a decorative band at dado height on a half-tiled wall, or as a frieze towards the top of a fully tiled room. It is made in all 23 Artworks colours, and Edwardian Green uses a copper-free glaze developed for wet areas. Deep colours such as Victorian Green, Teapot Brown and Windsor Blue make the most of the ornament in period schemes, while whites and London Stone keep it understated. Each box of 4 covers 0.6 linear metres. The moulding is specified for internal walls in wet and dry areas and needs no sealing; it is not frostproof, so keep it indoors.
