Product story
Twelve Millimetres of Deep Indigo
The narrowest piece in the Artworks range, at 12mm, glazed a deep indigo gloss across a 152mm length — the Artworks Royal Blue Omega Moulding, from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.
The Omega is a fine line and very little else, and that is precisely its usefulness. Its projection from the wall is minimal, so it can be run where there is no room for anything with more substance: as a second, finer line set a course or two beneath a deeper capping, as the trim to a shallow reveal, or as a slim edge to a panel of tiling that wants stopping rather than framing. Its shallow curved face gives it just enough shape to catch a highlight along its length.
Fine detail asks something of the colour. On a deep indigo a 12mm member is read almost entirely as a change in the way light comes off the wall — a bright thread where the curve faces you, full depth where it turns away — and that is why a gloss glaze matters as much as it does here. In a genuinely tight space, too — a shower reveal, a narrow passage, a cloakroom barely wider than its door — a broad band of this indigo would carry off whatever brightness the room has left, and a 12mm line will not: it is a way of getting the colour into a place that cannot afford much of it, around a reveal, along the edge of a recess, or bordering a small panel. At an outside angle, reach for the 152 x 30mm Royal Blue corner trim we keep in stock rather than a cut piece, since a sawn edge on a glaze this deep shows the pale body as a bright line.

Installation & care
Installation & care
- Adhesive & Grout: White flexible adhesive. Choose a grout that is dark and close in tone: a charcoal, or a grey-blue dark enough to be taken for the tile. At only 12mm a brilliant white joint is out of all proportion: the grout would take up as much attention as the moulding it interrupts. Mid grey is no better a compromise. At this width the joint and the moulding are almost the same size, so a middle tone doubles the line into two members of roughly equal weight, one blue and one grey, and the fineness that recommended the piece in the first place is gone. Deep gloss glazes carry haze, so rinse well and buff with a dry cloth.
- Layout: Because the piece is narrow, small errors in level show up quickly — strike a line and work to it rather than following a course of tiling that may itself be a millimetre out. Where the Omega is used as a secondary line beneath a deeper capping, keep the gap between the two consistent for the whole length of the run.
- Cleaning: The gloss glaze is non-porous and needs no sealing. Wipe with warm water and a mild detergent; avoid abrasive pads and acidic limescale removers, which will dull the surface over time.
Samples
Tone, glaze and veining can read differently in your own light. Cut samples are free; sample postage is £4.99 (£8 for Original Style) and is refunded on tile orders over £50 using the code emailed with your sample order. Use the sample option in the buying panel, or call our Ascot team on 01344 620211 for help comparing colour, finish and quantities.
Delivery
In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.
Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.
When your order arrives
Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.
Returns
Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.
