Quiet Sophistication: Adria Grey 30x60cm

Bring the calm of natural stone to a floor or wall with the Adria Grey 30x60cm rectified porcelain tile from Hyperion Tiles.

Adria Grey reads as quarried stone rather than manufactured tile. A soft, cool grey carries gentle marbled movement across a matt surface, and because the range is finished to a V2 slight variation, no two tiles are quite identical — the small inconsistencies that make a stone floor look laid rather than printed.

Glazed porcelain gives you that character without the obligations of the real thing: no sealing, no staining, no anxiety about a spilled glass of red. Rectified for crisp, narrow grout joints and rated F3 for moderate traffic, Adria is frostproof and equally at home on an internal floor, a bathroom wall or a sheltered external wall.

Installation & care

Installation & care

  • Adhesive & Grout: Use a high-quality flexible adhesive and grout suitable for porcelain. As a rectified tile, Adria is made for a narrow joint — a grout close to the tile tone keeps the floor reading as one continuous surface.
  • Layout Options: Lay in a straight stack for a calm contemporary floor, or in a brickbond half-lap on a wall to draw the eye along the room. Dry-lay a few square metres first and shuffle the tiles: the V2 variation looks best when the tones are mixed rather than clustered.
  • Cleaning: Sweep and clean with warm water and a mild floor cleaner. The matt glazed surface needs no sealing and resists everyday wear beautifully.
Samples

Tone, glaze and veining all read differently in your own light. Cut samples are free — sample postage is £4.99 (£8 for Original Style) and we refund it on tile orders over £50 with the code we email you. Our family-run team is happy to check quantities and finishes with you on 01344 620211.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

How many Adria tiles do I need?

Adria is sold by the pack, with each pack containing 6 tiles and covering 1.08m² (5.56 tiles per m²). Measure your total area in square metres, add 10% for cuts and natural wastage, then divide by 1.08 and round up to find the number of packs. Each pack weighs around 21.9kg, so do factor that in if you are carrying them upstairs. Our friendly team is always happy to check your quantities on 01344 620211.

Where can I use Adria?

Adria is a frostproof glazed porcelain rated for internal walls, internal floors and external walls, with an F3 floor wear rating suited to moderate traffic — kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and sheltered terraces. As porcelain rather than natural stone it needs no sealing and shrugs off moisture and everyday wear. For a heavily trafficked commercial floor, do ask us about alternatives with a higher wear rating.

Is Adria suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes. Porcelain conducts and holds heat efficiently, which makes Adria a natural partner for underfloor heating — the 9mm body warms through evenly and stays warm underfoot. Use a flexible adhesive and grout rated for use over heated screeds, and bring the system up to temperature gradually after installation rather than all at once. Our team can advise on the right adhesive for your build-up on 01344 620211.

What does V2 slight variation mean?

V2 is the industry shade-variation rating, and it means tiles within the same batch will show a slight difference in tone and marbling from one to the next. This is intentional — it is what stops a stone-effect floor from looking like a repeated photograph. To get the best of it, open several packs at once, dry-lay a few square metres and shuffle the tiles before fixing so the tones distribute naturally rather than clustering.
