Fixing advice

Showers and wet rooms: use a water-resistant or epoxy grout and tank the substrate behind the tile.
Sealing: glazed ceramic and porcelain generally do not need sealing; check the product specification and the grout instructions.
Estimates are a planning guide: joint width, tile size, trowel and substrate all change the final quantity. Confirm the fixing system with your installer, or call us on 01344 620211.

Product story

Cool Industrial Chic: Urban Grey

Achieve the ultimate modern aesthetic with Urban Grey—a 20x20cm porcelain tile that captures the raw, understated cool of polished concrete.

Drawing inspiration from the gritty textures of Spanish street art and urban architecture, this tile offers a sleek mid-grey colourway that works as a neutral canvas for any contemporary space. It provides the coveted look of poured concrete but in a manageable, easy-to-lay format. Crafted from super-hard wearing porcelain, it boasts a specialized anti-slip finish, making it an exceptionally practical choice for wet room floors, high-traffic hallways, and seamless indoor-outdoor living spaces.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Additional supplier returns have their own eligibility rules, charges and exclusions. These do not override statutory cancellation rights or rights for faulty goods. See our refund policy and supplier return guidance before arranging a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tile suitable for outdoors?

Yes! Urban Grey is a frost-proof porcelain tile with an anti-slip finish, making it ideal for garden patios, pathways, or balconies. It allows you to create a stylish, seamless flow from indoor living areas to the outside.

Is it safe for wet rooms?

Absolutely. The tile features a specialized anti-slip surface designed for safety, making it perfect for wet room floors, walk-in showers, and swimming pool surrounds.

Does it look like concrete?

Yes, it is designed to mimic the cool, matt aesthetic of poured concrete or cement. However, unlike real concrete, it won't crack, stain, or require sealing, giving you the industrial look with none of the maintenance issues.

Can I use it with underfloor heating?

Yes. Porcelain is a dense material that conducts heat very efficiently. It is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, ensuring your floor feels warm and comfortable.

Installation & Care Tips

⚠️ Installation & care

No Sealing Required: Urban Grey is made of glazed porcelain, which is non-porous. It requires zero sealing, making it a hassle-free, durable surface.
Mix & Match: This plain tile is designed to work seamlessly with patterned tiles in the Urban range (like Urban Axel or Urban Callizo). Use it to frame a patterned "rug" area.
Grout Colour: We recommend a matching grey grout like Mapei 110 Manhattan or 112 Medium Grey to create a continuous concrete effect without visible grid lines.
