Faceted Sparkle, Softly Antiqued: 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey

The 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey comes to you from Hyperion Tiles, part of our Antique Mirror glass collection.

Each 50mm chip of smoky antiqued mirror is bevel-faceted, so the sheet becomes a field of tiny reflective planes that shimmer as you move past. The foxed grey patina keeps it soft and characterful rather than brash — glamour with a vintage soul.

Supplied as mesh-backed sheets for straightforward setting-out, the mirrored glass is non-porous and wipe-clean, ideal for splashbacks, feature walls and bathroom schemes.

Installation & care

Installation & care

  • Adhesive & Grout: Always fix with a white glass tile adhesive — mirror glass can show a darker adhesive through the chips, so white keeps every facet bright. These are mesh-backed sheets; butt sheets closely so the joins disappear.
  • Layout Options: Run the sheets in a simple grid; stagger the mesh joins slightly to avoid a visible seam.
  • Cleaning: The glass surface is non-porous and wipe-clean, ideal for kitchen splashbacks, shower and bathroom walls and other wet areas. Take care with the faceted cut edges during handling.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

Are 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey Tiles Suitable For Bathrooms?

Yes, 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey tiles are well suited to bathrooms, particularly when used as feature walls, decorative accents or behind basins where their reflective qualities can enhance both light and atmosphere. Bathrooms often benefit from materials that make the space feel brighter and more open, and the faceted surface of these tiles helps achieve exactly that. The antique grey tint softens the brightness of the reflections, ensuring the tiles feel elegant rather than overpowering. Their unique multifaceted design catches light at different angles, creating a gentle sparkle that enhances the room’s ambience. When properly installed using suitable adhesives and grouts, these tiles perform well in humid environments. Their smooth, mirrored surface can be easily cleaned with a soft cloth and mild cleaner, making them practical as well as decorative. They pair beautifully with marble-effect porcelain, stone tiles, brushed brass, chrome or matt black fixtures, creating a luxurious contrast that elevates the overall design. For homeowners wanting to introduce glamour and depth into their bathroom without overwhelming the décor, 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey tiles offer a distinctive and sophisticated solution.

Can 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey Tiles Be Used In Kitchens?

Yes, these tiles are an excellent choice for kitchens, especially as splashbacks or decorative accent areas where their reflective surface and striking texture can enhance the entire space. Kitchens often need surfaces that brighten the room and create visual interest without dominating the design, and the faceted mirror effect achieves this balance perfectly. The antique grey finish adds sophistication and softens the reflections, making the tiles feel warm and atmospheric rather than sharp or overly shiny. They work exceptionally well with contemporary handleless cabinetry, industrial-style kitchens, shaker designs and traditional wooden units. The tiles coordinate beautifully with quartz worktops, granite, marble-effect surfaces and metallic finishes such as copper or brushed chrome. Their smooth surface can be wiped clean with gentle kitchen-safe cleaners, making them suitable for areas exposed to splashes and everyday cooking activities. When installed correctly, they remain durable and stable over time. For homeowners looking to introduce a refined, glamorous touch to their kitchen without committing to bold colour or pattern, 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey tiles are an ideal choice.

What Makes 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey Tiles Unique Compared To Other Mirror Mosaics?

These tiles stand out because they combine three distinctive qualities: faceted surfaces, antique grey colouring and mosaic-format installation. Unlike flat mirror tiles, the faceted design refracts light across multiple angles, creating a dynamic sparkle and depth that feels more architectural and sophisticated. This produces a jewel-like effect that adds movement and subtle drama to walls. The antique grey finish gives the tiles a vintage charm, softening the reflectivity and introducing an atmospheric, smoky tone that flat mirrors cannot provide. This subtle patina adds character and prevents the tiles from feeling too stark or modern, allowing them to suit a wide range of interior styles. The 50mm mosaic format also contributes to their uniqueness, as the smaller pieces create texture and variation across the surface, making installations feel more handcrafted and visually rich. These elements together create a tile that balances glamour with refinement, offering a high-end decorative finish that feels timeless rather than trend-led. For homeowners seeking standout feature tiles with elegant depth, these mosaics offer a unique and memorable aesthetic.

Are 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey Tiles Easy To Maintain?

Yes, these tiles are relatively easy to maintain, making them suitable for busy households as well as decorative spaces. Their polished mirror-like surface naturally resists grease splashes, fingerprints and everyday marks, and most cleaning can be done with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Because the surface is faceted rather than flat, small smudges are less visible, which helps keep the tiles looking elegant between cleans. As with all mirror-effect finishes, harsh chemicals, abrasive pads or ammonia-based cleaners should be avoided to preserve the clarity and lustre of the surface. When installed with the correct adhesive and grout, these mosaics remain stable and attractive even in areas that experience humidity or regular cleaning. Their mosaic-backed format also makes repairs or replacements easier than with large-format mirror tiles. With minimal upkeep, they maintain their gentle sparkle and refined antique finish for many years, offering long-lasting beauty that requires only light maintenance. For homeowners seeking stylish, eye-catching feature walls without demanding cleaning routines, these tiles strike an excellent balance between practicality and luxury.

Do 50mm Facet Mosaic Antique Mirror Grey Tiles Suit Modern And Traditional Interiors?

Yes, these tiles suit both modern and traditional interiors exceptionally well because they combine contemporary geometric detailing with the timeless appeal of antique mirror finishes. In modern homes, their faceted texture and reflective qualities introduce architectural interest and glamour, softening minimalist spaces and complementing monochrome palettes, concrete-effect tiles or sleek metallic finishes. They add depth without distracting from clean, modern lines. In traditional interiors, the antique grey patina fits beautifully with heritage elements such as panelled walls, classic brassware, dark wood cabinetry and period-inspired décor. The aged appearance feels authentic and characterful, echoing the charm of vintage mirrors. For transitional interiors where homeowners blend old and new styles, these tiles act as a linking element, bringing cohesion through their combination of modern shape and historic finish. Their versatile colour tone pairs well with warm and cool interiors, making them a flexible choice for evolving décor. Because they are decorative yet subtle, they provide enduring appeal across changing design trends, ensuring they remain a stylish and timeless addition to any home.
