Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between "Real Wood Engineered" and LVT?

Stonehaven is a real wood product made of a plywood core topped with a 3mm solid oak layer. This gives you the authentic look and feel of timber. LVT ranges, like our Marble Effect LVT, are synthetic products designed for 100% waterproof performance.

Can Stonehaven be used with underfloor heating?

Yes, Stonehaven is suitable for underfloor heating, provided it is installed using the glued-down method. Its 1.15 TOG rating ensures efficient heat transfer to keep your room warm.

What does "Rustic Grade" mean?

Rustic grade means the planks will feature more natural character, including larger knots and more significant grain variations. This provides a warm, lived-in feel that is very popular in both traditional and modern farmhouse designs.

How do I maintain a UV Oiled finish?

A UV oiled finish protects the wood while keeping it looking natural. Regular sweeping and damp mopping with a wood-specific cleaner are all that's required. Unlike a lacquered floor, oiled wood can often be locally repaired if a small scratch occurs

How many planks come in a pack?

Each pack contains 6 planks with a length of 1900mm and a width of 190mm, providing a total coverage of 2.166m² per pack.

Why Choose Woodpecker Stonehaven Engineered Oak?

The Woodpecker Stonehaven collection is a masterclass in combining traditional wood craftsmanship with modern engineering. These 1900mm long planks offer an expansive, high-end feel that is perfect for open-plan living areas and hallways.

Exceptional Build Quality
Unlike standard Vinyl Tiles, Stonehaven is a real wood engineered product featuring a robust plywood core. The 14mm total thickness includes a 3mm solid oak wear layer, providing the "hardness" and resonance of a real timber floor. If you love the look of natural grain but need a completely waterproof option for a bathroom, our Wood Planks LVT is an excellent alternative.

Rustic Character & UV Protection
This range is celebrated for its "Rustic" grade, meaning it showcases the natural beauty of the oak, including knots and color variations. The UV Oiled finish ensures the wood is protected from sunlight and daily wear while maintaining a natural, tactile feel. For a more industrial look, you might consider pairing these natural tones with the clean lines of our Concrete LVT.

Flexible Installation
Stonehaven utilizes a traditional Tongue & Groove joint, giving you total flexibility in how it is fitted. It can be floated, glued down, or nailed directly to a subfloor. This stability makes it superior to many basic floors, and it is fully suitable for use with underfloor heating when glued down. For a different patterned installation, explore our Herringbone LVT collection.
