Golden Summer Light: Stonehaven Wisp Oak

Fill your home with the gentle, uplifting glow of morning sunshine with Stonehaven Wisp Oak—an engineered wood floor that captures the soft abundance of honey and wheat tones.

Part of the wide-plank Stonehaven collection, Wisp Oak is designed to bring a sense of serenity and warmth to any interior. Inspired by the golden light of summer, the planks feature a beautiful interplay of pale straw, biscuit, and soft golden hues. The Rustic grade adds authentic character with natural knots and grain, while the smooth UV Oil finish protects the surface and enhances the wood’s natural luminosity, creating a floor that feels as welcoming as it looks.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What is a UV Oiled finish?

A UV Oiled finish combines the natural look of oil with the durability of a lacquer. The oil is cured under UV light during manufacturing, creating a protective surface that resists dirt and wear better than traditional natural oils, while still feeling natural to the touch.

What is the wear layer?

It features a 3mm solid oak wear layer on top of a 11mm engineered plywood core. This provides the look and longevity of solid oak with superior stability against temperature changes.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes, Woodpecker Flooring provides an exceptional 100-year warranty on this product, covering the structural integrity of the planks for a lifetime.

Can I use this in a kitchen?

Yes, engineered oak is suitable for kitchens due to its stability. The UV Oil finish provides good resistance to spills, though liquids should always be wiped up immediately to prevent staining.

How light is Wisp Oak?

"Wisp Oak" is lighter and more golden than the standard "Rustic Oak." It is defined by pale honey, wheat, and straw tones, giving it a sun-bleached, summery feel without being stark white or grey.

Is it suitable for pets?

Yes. The rustic nature and light colour of Wisp Oak make it very forgiving. Minor scratches or dust from pet paws are much less visible on this textured, light floor than on a dark, glossy surface.

Installation & Care Tips

⚠️ Installation & care

  • Installation Method: This T&G board is versatile: float it over underlay (glued joints), nail it to a timber subfloor, or fully stick it down to the screed.
  • Underfloor Heating: Compatible with UFH. To ensure the best board stability and heat transfer, we strictly recommend the glue-down method.
  • Acclimatisation: Ensure the unopened packs are stored flat in the room of installation for 3-4 days prior to fitting.
  • Cut Lengths: Packs include "cut lengths" (shorter boards). These are essential for starting/ending rows and creating a natural, staggered joint pattern.
