All tiles in the Artworks collection are produced at Original Style's factory in Exeter, Devon. This ensures that every tile meets the highest standards of British craftsmanship and heritage quality.

Can these tiles be used in a shower or wet area?

Yes. All Artworks tiles are glazed ceramic and are perfectly suitable for use on bathroom and shower walls. However, they are not suitable for use on floors; for a coordinating floor, we recommend the Original Style Victorian Floor Tile range.

Why do some tiles have varying shades of colour?

Artworks tiles use translucent glazes that "pool" over the surface. This is a deliberate design feature that creates a "crazed" or "jewel-like" depth, giving the tiles a hand-crafted look. Slight variations in shade are part of the natural beauty of heritage glazes.

ow do I finish an external corner without using metal trims?

The collection includes dedicated "REX" tiles or external wrapping pieces. These have a glazed edge that allows you to wrap the colour around a 90-degree corner, providing a professional and historically accurate finish.
