A generous 90 x 90cm travertine-effect porcelain in a warm, sandy tone - Tibur Desert from Hyperion Tiles, your official Fired Earth stockist.

Inspired by the travertine quarried around the ancient Roman town of Tibur, Desert brings a soft, sunlit beige to large spaces. The warm, honeyed tone flatters both contemporary and traditional interiors, and the large 90 x 90cm format keeps grout lines to a minimum for a seamless, restful floor.

Porcelain construction means all the character of natural travertine with everyday practicality - durable, low-maintenance, no sealing required - and it is happy over underfloor heating.

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

No. Tibur is a travertine-effect porcelain. It faithfully recreates the soft, weathered look of natural travertine while giving you the hard-wearing, low-maintenance performance of porcelain, with no sealing required.

What size are Tibur tiles?

Tibur is a large-format 90 x 90cm square, at roughly 1.23 tiles per square metre. The generous format keeps grout lines to a minimum for a calm, seamless expanse across open-plan floors.

Where can Tibur tiles be used?

Tibur is suited to internal walls and floors, including kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms, and is compatible with underfloor heating. As a porcelain it needs no sealing.

Can I order a sample of Tibur?

Yes. A free cut tile sample is available on each Tibur colourway, and you are welcome to collect samples from our Ascot showroom or have them posted for a small postage charge.

Installation & care

Adhesive & Grout: Use a high-quality flexible adhesive suitable for large-format tiles, with full coverage behind each tile, and a grout in a soft, tonal shade.
Layout Options: Keep offsets modest (no more than a third) on large-format tiles, and shuffle from several boxes to blend the natural travertine movement.
Cleaning: Sweep and mop with warm water and a mild cleaner. Glazed porcelain needs no sealing and shrugs off splashes and steam.
