Product story
A Decorated Square For The Middle Of A Plain Floor
The Salisbury motif drawn in Black across a Dover White ground, a large decorated square meant to interrupt a plain field at chosen intervals. Take as many or as few as the floor wants from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.
This is punctuation rather than pattern. Dropped into an otherwise plain floor at regular spacings, the Black drawing gives the eye somewhere to settle, and because the ground is Dover White rather than a cold white the motif reads as drawn rather than printed.
Decorated squares of this size carry a room on their own, so they are usually used sparingly: one at the centre of a small hall, or a measured grid of them across a larger one. The tile is 9mm, matt and vitrified, suitable for an interior floor or a sheltered exterior one, and it sits flush with plain squares of the same module.

Returns
To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Installation & care
- Setting Out: Mark the positions of every decorated square on the screed before any adhesive goes down, then lay the plain field around them.
- Adhesive & Grout: Use a flexible adhesive and keep the grout joint consistent, since an uneven joint round a decorated square is very hard to ignore.
- Sealing & Cleaning: No glaze protects this surface, so a sealer belongs on it once the floor has dried; use pH-neutral products for everything afterwards.

Once an order has been placed, goods that are in stock can normally be dispatched within 3–5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered. A specific delivery date will be arranged to suit you.
