Iridescent Mother-of-Pearl: Radiance Pearl Frost Glass Mosaic 30 x 30cm

Pearlescent mother-of-pearl glass in frosted — Radiance Pearl Frost Glass Mosaic from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

Part of Original Style's Glassworks Radiance range, this mosaic brings creamy pearl and mother-of-pearl tones that catch the light with a shifting iridescent sheen. A softly frosted, satin-matt surface that diffuses light for a gentler shimmer, so the surface never sits still — it responds to daylight and lamplight alike, giving a splashback, shower or feature wall a living, jewel-like quality.

Each piece is solid frosted glass, 8mm thick and specified for interior walls. Non-porous and effortless to wipe clean, it is an ideal choice for kitchen splashbacks, shower enclosures, bathroom walls and other wet areas where a premium finish is wanted. Supplied as a mesh-backed sheet of small glass mosaic chips, 30 x 30cm and 8mm thick, supplied ready to space evenly.

Installation & care

Installation & care

  • Adhesive & Grout: Always fix with a white glass-rated adhesive — grey or dark adhesives show straight through translucent glass and spoil the colour. Pair with a soft, tonal grout.
  • Layout Options: These are mesh-backed sheets, so they bend gently around corners and curves and space themselves evenly. Cut the mesh with a sharp knife between chips; score and snap individual pieces with a glass cutter for clean edges.
  • Cleaning: Wipe with warm water and a mild cleaner. Glass is non-porous, needs no sealing and shrugs off splashes and steam.
Samples

Tone, glaze and veining all read differently in your own light. Cut samples are free — sample postage is £4.99 (£8 for Original Style) and we refund it on tile orders over £50 with the code we email you. Our family-run team is happy to check quantities and finishes with you on 01344 620211.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

How are glass mosaic sheets installed?

The individual chips come pre-mounted on a mesh or paper backing, so you fix a whole sheet at a time rather than placing each piece. Comb white glass-rated adhesive onto the wall, bed the sheet in, and tamp it flat with a grout float.

The important part is the joins. Keep the gap between sheets exactly the same as the gaps between chips within a sheet, otherwise the grid lines will be visible as stripes across the finished wall once it is grouted.

Can glass mosaic be used on a shower floor?

Yes, and it is one of the better choices for a shower tray or wet room floor. The high number of grout joints across the surface gives significantly more grip than a large flat tile.

Mosaic sheets are also easy to work into a fall towards the drain because the mesh backing flexes. For a shower floor, use a waterproof or epoxy grout and confirm the fall and waterproofing details with your installer.

Do glass mosaic sheets need to be cut?

Usually far less than a standard tile. You can often cut the mesh backing with a utility knife between chips to fit a sheet to length, which avoids cutting glass altogether.

Where you do need a part chip, score and snap it with a glass cutter or use mosaic nippers. Because the cut edges are small and mostly hidden in the grout joint, mosaic is a forgiving format for awkward or non-square spaces.

Will the finished wall look like the sample?

Glass mosaic is usually a deliberate blend of several tones, so a single small sample shows the palette but not the rhythm of the whole wall. Colour is also affected by the light in your room and by the grout you choose.

For this reason we recommend a free cut sample, and where possible laying two or three sheets out together before you commit. You are also welcome to see the full sheets in our Ascot showroom.

How many sheets of this size do I need per square metre?

At 305 x 305 x 8mm, each sheet covers roughly 0.093m², which works out at about 10.75 sheets per square metre.

To work out your order: multiply the height by the width of each area you are tiling to get the total square metres, multiply that figure by 10.75, then round up to the nearest full sheet. Add 10% on top for cuts and breakages.

If you would rather not do the sums, send us the dimensions of your space and we will confirm the quantity — and if you are close to a box quantity we will tell you, as it is often cheaper to take the full box. Free cut samples are available, and you are welcome to see the range in our Ascot showroom.
