Structured Shimmer: Dionysus Brickbond Glass Mosaic Wall Tile

Slim brickbond glass in a cool pewter grey that catches the light beautifully, from Hyperion Tiles.

The Dionysus brickbond mosaic arranges slender glass pieces in a classic offset pattern, its pewter-grey tones shifting between soft stone and gunmetal as the light moves. That gentle metallic play brings quiet rhythm and depth to splashbacks, shower walls and feature panels.

Made from non-porous glass, the surface is light-reflective, moisture-resistant and easy to wipe clean. Supplied on mesh-backed sheets, the compact brickbond format keeps alignment simple, even around sockets and awkward corners.

Installation & care

  • Edges — take care with cut or exposed edges and finish them with a matching trim; sheets are mesh-backed for straightforward alignment
  • Where to use — non-porous and wipe-clean; ideal for kitchen splashbacks, shower and bathroom walls and other wet areas
  • Cleaning — wipe with a soft cloth and mild detergent; avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What interior styles does the Dionysus Brickbond Mosaic complement best?

The Dionysus Brickbond Mosaic is incredibly adaptable and works beautifully across a wide range of interior styles. Its elegant palette of soft greys, stone-inspired tones and pearly accents creates a surface that is both calming and visually refined. This makes it ideal for contemporary, minimalist, and Scandinavian interiors where a clean, understated backdrop is key. At the same time, the warmth of the hues and the subtle texture mean it blends seamlessly into more traditional or transitional spaces, where natural materials and timeless finishes are favoured. The brickbond layout adds a sense of structure, making it especially well suited to interiors that appreciate clean lines and balance. Whether you’re styling a modern kitchen with sleek units or a more rustic bathroom with wooden accents, this mosaic supports the overall look without overpowering it. It also works well in boutique commercial environments, such as salons, hotels or wellness spaces, where it adds quiet sophistication. The key strength of the Dionysus mosaic is its ability to enhance the mood and material palette of a space while staying visually neutral, making it an easy and lasting choice for designers and homeowners looking for elegance with versatility.

Is the Dionysus mosaic a practical choice for bathroom walls and wet areas?

Yes, the Dionysus Brickbond Mosaic is very well suited to bathroom use, including wet areas such as shower walls and bath surrounds. Its surface is designed to handle moisture and humidity, making it a reliable option for spaces that experience regular water exposure. When installed with the appropriate waterproof adhesive and grout, the mosaic provides a durable and low-maintenance finish that will stand the test of time. Its compact brick format also makes it ideal for working around fixtures like taps, mirrors or shower niches, offering flexibility during installation. In terms of design, the soft tones and gentle texture create a serene, spa-like environment that many homeowners seek when planning a relaxing bathroom. The subtle sheen on some of the tile pieces helps reflect ambient light, making bathrooms feel brighter and more open, especially in rooms with limited natural light. The surface is easy to keep clean with a simple wipe down using mild products, and there is no need for sealing, which helps simplify ongoing maintenance. Whether you're designing a luxury en-suite or updating a main family bathroom, this mosaic provides both style and performance in a way that’s timeless and practical.

How easy is it to clean and maintain the Dionysus Brickbond Mosaic over time?

The Dionysus Brickbond Mosaic is designed to offer long-term style with minimal effort when it comes to cleaning and maintenance. Its smooth and lightly textured surfaces are non-porous, which means they do not absorb moisture or stains, making them naturally resistant to dirt and everyday household grime. In kitchens, the mosaic stands up well to splashes from cooking and water, and in bathrooms, it copes comfortably with steam, soap and condensation. A simple wipe with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive, pH-neutral cleaner is typically all that’s needed to keep the surface looking fresh. The variation in finish across the individual tile pieces helps conceal minor smudges or watermarks between cleans, which is particularly helpful in busy homes or commercial environments. There is no need for sealing or specialist cleaning treatments, making it a convenient choice for those looking for a low-maintenance surface that still feels high-end. With correct installation and quality grout, the Dionysus mosaic will retain its appearance over many years, even in high-use areas. It’s a smart choice for those who want a refined, design-led wall tile that doesn’t demand constant upkeep to stay looking its best.

Can the Dionysus mosaic be used in commercial interiors such as offices or hospitality spaces?

Absolutely, the Dionysus Brickbond Mosaic is an excellent choice for commercial interiors. Its understated design, neutral tones and layered textures offer a sophisticated yet subtle surface solution that fits seamlessly into a variety of professional environments. In office spaces, it can be used to elevate reception areas, meeting rooms or client-facing spaces with a calm and polished backdrop. In hospitality, such as boutique hotels or wellness centres, it introduces a refined elegance that feels considered and high-quality without being flashy or trend-driven. The mosaic is durable and easy to maintain, which is essential in public-facing spaces where cleanliness and appearance are priorities. Its compact format makes it adaptable for both small feature panels and large wall expanses, allowing designers flexibility during the layout and installation process. The gentle texture and light-reflective qualities also enhance artificial lighting schemes, helping to create inviting and well-lit interiors. Because it coordinates well with a wide range of materials, from timber and stone to metals and painted surfaces, it supports cohesive brand design without dominating it. For commercial projects that require a stylish yet practical wall finish, the Dionysus mosaic offers a reliable and elegant solution that performs well under regular use.

What are the installation and design advantages of the brickbond layout in this mosaic?

The brickbond layout featured in the Dionysus mosaic is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. Visually, this offset pattern introduces a sense of movement and flow across the wall surface, which helps guide the eye and adds structure to a space without being repetitive or rigid. It’s a layout that has long been associated with timeless architecture, and its continued popularity lies in its ability to work across different room types and styles. From a design perspective, it softens the appearance of the rectangular tiles, making the surface feel more natural and less formal than grid-based formats. This layout is also particularly effective at elongating smaller walls or adding width to vertical spaces, depending on orientation. In practical terms, the brickbond mosaic format comes on mesh-backed sheets, which makes installation more efficient. It allows for cleaner cuts around sockets, corners, and joins, reducing waste and helping achieve a seamless result. The consistent grout lines further support a neat and uniform finish, which enhances the overall look of the installation. Whether used for a splashback, shower wall or commercial feature panel, the brickbond format ensures both visual impact and installation ease, making it a designer-friendly choice.
