A Small Blue Square With A Black Stencil Across It
Cardigan prints a black stencil motif onto a blue 53mm square, a decorated unit meant to be dropped into a plain geometric field, available from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.
Blue is the ground and it is what the eye registers first, a cool, slightly chalky Victorian blue that stands apart from the reds and buffs a hall floor is usually built on. The black stencil sits over it crisply, giving the little square its outline.
Tiles of this size are used sparingly. One Cardigan set into every few plain squares lifts a field pattern without turning it into a carpet, and because it matches the 9mm thickness of the plain tiles around it, the surface stays flat underfoot.

When your order arrives
Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.
Returns
To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Installation & care
- Setting Out: Dry-lay a section with the plain tiles in place, so you can see how often the decorated square should recur before fixing.
- Adhesive & Grout: Bed the decorated square on the same adhesive as its neighbours so it sits flush, and keep the joint tight around the stencil.
- Sealing & Cleaning: Unglazed surfaces absorb, so seal the square after laying and wash it only with a pH-neutral product.

Once an order has been placed, goods that are in stock can normally be dispatched within 3–5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered. A specific delivery date will be arranged to suit you.
