Is the Blends Castano Star tile made from real marble?

Yes. Blends Castano is genuine natural marble, honed to a smooth matt finish. As real stone it shows extreme natural variation in tone and veining from tile to tile, which is part of its charm — we recommend ordering a sample first and, once fitted, sealing the tiles to protect the surface.

Where can I use the Blends Castano Star tile?

The Castano star is suitable for interior walls and floors, including bathrooms, shower walls, wet room floors and hallways, and it can be laid over underfloor heating. As a sealed natural marble it is intended for indoor use only, not for exterior or frost-exposed areas.

How do I combine the Blends shapes and colours?

Blends is a mix-and-match range. Circles and Stars are designed to be used together in equal quantities (about 15.5 of each per m²) to create a flowing circle-and-star effect, while Triangles (around 21.5 per m²) form classic chequerboards and geometric patterns. Combine any of the seven marble shades to design a floor or wall that is uniquely yours.

Blends invites you to design a floor or wall that is entirely your own. Cut from real brown marble, each Castano star carries the natural veining and gentle variation that only genuine stone can offer, so no two pieces are ever quite alike. To create the look, simply pair it with the matching Circle in equal quantities to build a flowing circle-and-star pattern.

Because this is natural marble, every tile is honed to a smooth, tactile finish and should be sealed to protect its surface. Specified for interior walls and floors, it is at home in bathrooms, wet rooms and hallways, and works beautifully over underfloor heating.

⚠ Installation & Care Tips

Sealing: This is natural marble. Seal the tiles before grouting and again after installation with a quality impregnating stone sealer to guard against staining.
Adhesive & Grout: Fix with a white, flexible stone adhesive and choose a tonal grout. Avoid acidic or cement-based products that can etch marble; use a stone-safe grout at a 3mm joint.
Layout Options: Pair it with the matching circle in equal quantities to build a flowing circle-and-star pattern, shuffling pieces from several boxes to make the most of the natural veining.
Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only. Never use vinegar, lemon or acidic bathroom sprays, which will dull and mark the marble.
