Golden Warmth & Resilience: Weymouth Malted Oak

Invite the cozy, sun-baked warmth of Weymouth Malted Oak into your home—a waterproof floor that combines the golden glow of traditional timber with next-generation durability.

Part of the premium Weymouth collection, Malted Oak is defined by its comforting, biscuit-toned palette. The design features a blend of soft amber, malt, and honey hues, enhanced by authentic saw-mark detailing that gives the floor a rustic, lived-in charm. Crafted with a rigid Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) core, it is 100% waterproof, dent-resistant, and incredibly stable. The "LiveTouch" surface embossing follows the grain perfectly, ensuring it feels as authentic as it looks while standing up to the chaos of modern family life.

Installation & care

⚠️ Installation & Benefits

  • 100% Waterproof: The mineral-resin core creates a seal that water cannot penetrate, making it ideal for bathrooms, utility rooms, and busy entranceways.
  • Built-In Underlay: Each plank comes with a high-performance underlay attached to the back. Do not use extra underlay, as this can damage the locking system (unless using a simple moisture barrier on concrete).
  • Easiloc Joint: The DIY-friendly click system allows you to float the floor without glue. Simply score, snap, and click the planks together.
  • Surface Durability: Rated AC4 for heavy domestic use. The 0.5mm wear layer is scratch-resistant and pet-friendly.
Samples

Tone, glaze and veining all read differently in your own light. Cut samples are free — sample postage is £4.99 (£8 for Original Style) and we refund it on tile orders over £50 with the code we email you. Our family-run team is happy to check quantities and finishes with you on 01344 620211.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Fired Earth ranges are returned through Fired Earth’s own returns process, and special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to buy underlay?

No. Weymouth planks come with a built-in underlay already attached to the back. Using additional foam underlay is not recommended as it can make the floor too soft and damage the click joints.

What colour is Echo Oak?

Echo Oak is a deep, complex grey. Unlike flat greys, it features moody accents, shadows, and lighter highlights that give it a "multi-tonal" look, resembling aged or reclaimed timber.

Is this suitable for bathrooms?

Yes, absolutely. Because it is a Waterproof SPC floor, it contains no wood fibres to swell or warp. It is perfect for bathrooms and en-suites

What makes the texture unique?

It features LiveTouch™ embossing, which means the texture you feel on the surface aligns perfectly with the wood grain and saw marks in the design. It doesn't just look like wood; it feels like it too.

Do I need underlay?

No. The planks have a built-in underlay attached to the back. This saves you money and speeds up installation.

Is it hard to install?

No, it is designed for DIY. The Easiloc joint system allows you to click the boards together without glue. The boards can be cut by scoring them with a utility knife and snapping them, so you don't even need a saw for straight cuts.
