⚠️ Installation & Benefits

  • 100% Waterproof: Ideal for wet areas. The mineral-resin core creates a seal that water cannot penetrate, unlike laminate or real wood.
  • Built-In Underlay: Each plank comes with a 1mm underlay attached. Do not use extra underlay, as this can damage the locking system.
  • Floating Installation: Unlike traditional parquet which must be glued down, this SPC floor clicks together and floats, making it much faster and cleaner to install.
  • Wastage: Remember that herringbone patterns require more cuts than straight planks. We recommend allowing for **10-15% wastage**.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need underlay?

No. The planks have a built-in underlay attached to the back. This saves you money and speeds up installation.

What is the difference between this and the standard Alaskan Oak?

The colour and material are identical, but the format is different. The standard version comes in long planks, while this is a Herringbone block (120mm x 600mm). This allows you to create the classic zigzag pattern.

Is it harder to install than the plank version?

A little, yes. You need to align the "A" and "B" boards correctly to form the pattern, and there is more cutting involved at the edges. However, thanks to the Easiloc click system, it is still much easier than traditional glue-down parquet.

Is it waterproof?

Yes, completely. Like the rest of the Weymouth range, it has a limestone-composite core that is impervious to water. It is safe for bathrooms and kitchens.

Can I mix it with the plank version?

Yes! The colours are designed to match perfectly. You could use the herringbone in a hallway or kitchen for impact, and the standard planks in the living room for a seamless flow (using a transition strip between rooms).
