Product details

Suitability & installation

Where can this tile be used?

Suitable for floors. It is also listed for outdoor use; confirm the substrate, drainage and fixing system for the exact project.

What is the material and finish?

Material: Ceramic. Natural variation, glaze and texture can look different under room lighting, so order a sample where available.

Can it be used with underfloor heating?

The current catalogue data lists this product as suitable with underfloor heating. The heating system, substrate, movement joints and adhesive still need to be specified correctly for the installation.

Is it suitable outside and is it frost resistant?

Outdoor/external use is included in the current catalogue data. A frost rating is not stated here; confirm it before specifying the tile for exposed external conditions.

Product story

The Half-Square Partner To A Mid-Scale Geometric Grid

This 106 x 53mm rectangle stands in exactly the same relationship to the 106mm square as a brick does to two bricks, which makes it the natural companion in a finer layout. Four shades are held from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

Where a mid-scale square field meets a wall, a doorway or a change of pattern, this rectangle closes the gap cleanly instead of forcing a cut. Run in courses it produces a small-scale brick bond suited to narrow passages, and set upright at intervals it breaks a long run into readable sections.

It is pressed from the same vitrified ceramic body as every plain shape here, 9mm deep, with pigment distributed through the clay rather than fixed on as glaze. The unglazed matt surface wants a sealer after laying, and the tile is rated for floors inside and out.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Additional supplier returns have their own eligibility rules, charges and exclusions. These do not override statutory cancellation rights or rights for faulty goods. See our refund policy and supplier return guidance before arranging a return.

Installation & Care Tips

Installation & care

  • Setting Out: Lay out a metre of the intended bond dry first; small rectangles multiply setting-out errors very quickly.
  • Adhesive & Grout: Comb a flexible adhesive to an even depth and keep joints consistent, since irregularity shows badly at this scale.
  • Sealing & Cleaning: There is no glaze to protect the face, so seal after the grout dries and stay with neutral cleaning products.
PLAN IT ONCE. KEEP IT TOGETHER.
