Product story
The Little Square That Fills The Gap Between Octagons
At 53mm this is a component rather than a field: the small square that drops into the opening where four octagons meet, and the corner block that stops a border dead. All eighteen shades are stocked from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.
Its best-known job is the dot in an octagon floor, where a contrasting shade turns an otherwise plain expanse into the pattern everyone recognises. It also works as a punctuation piece along a border run, as the corner square where two bands of banding cross, and as a very fine chequer in a cloakroom no bigger than a cupboard.
Small as it is, the make-up is identical to the largest tiles in the range: 9mm of vitrified ceramic with the shade fired through the body. There is no glazed layer over the top, so seal the floor once laid, and specify it freely for exterior as well as interior work.

When your order arrives
Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.
Returns
To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Installation & care
- Setting Out: Place the octagons first and drop the small squares in as you go, rather than trying to retrofit them into a finished bay.
- Adhesive & Grout: Butter the back of each small square properly; a thin, flexible adhesive bed and a fine joint keep everything sitting level.
- Sealing & Cleaning: An unglazed face takes sealer well once the floor is dry, after which neutral cleaning is all the maintenance needed.

Once an order has been placed, goods that are in stock can normally be dispatched within 3–5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered. A specific delivery date will be arranged to suit you.
Express delivery: 1–2 working days.
