Q: Is the stone itself different?

No. It is the same Ezra Limestone (a sedimentary rock with fossils and fissures), just finished differently. The natural colour and internal character of the stone remain the same, but the surface feel and edge style are different.

Q: What grout width should I use?

Because of the crisp Diamond Sawn edges, you can achieve a tighter grout joint (typically 2-3mm) compared to the wider joints needed for tumbled tiles. This creates a more seamless floor appearance.

⚠ Installation & Care Tips

Sealing (important): As a natural limestone, Temple Ezra must be sealed. Apply a proprietary stone sealer before grouting and again after laying, then maintain with a pH-neutral stone cleaner — avoid vinegar, bleach and acidic products.
Adhesive & Grout: Fix with a flexible stone adhesive and choose a complementary grout; work cleanly to avoid staining the porous surface.
Layout & Cleaning: Shuffle tiles from several boxes to blend the natural tone and fossil markings. Sweep and damp-mop, and reseal periodically.

Our delivery drivers may be prevented from delivering your order by the following:

• Low hanging trees and bridges.

• Narrow roads, gateways, or cars on either side of the road.

• No turning point for the delivery vehicle.

• Unfinished tracks and roads.

• Lack of solid and flat surface to unload.

• Gravel driveways.

If access issues are not advised and/or delivery cannot be made due to unattendance at delivery, a re-delivery charge may be applied.

Checking Orders

Once the goods are unloaded, they become the responsibility of the receiver.

What is the difference between "Tumbled" and "Diamond Sawn Honed"?

"Tumbled" tiles are mechanically processed to have rounded, chipped edges and a textured surface for a rustic, aged look. Diamond Sawn Honed tiles are cut with precision blades to create straight, crisp edges ("Diamond Sawn") and then ground down to a smooth, flat, matte finish ("Honed"). This results in a cleaner, more modern aesthetic.

Can I use this with underfloor heating?

Yes. At approx 1.8cm thick, this limestone is a substantial thermal mass. It absorbs heat from underfloor systems effectively and radiates it into the room, keeping your feet warm.

Is it slippery

Honed surfaces are smooth and matte. While not as textured as tumbled stone, honed limestone generally offers adequate slip resistance for internal dry areas like kitchens and hallways. For wet rooms, we recommend testing a sample or using a bath mat.
