Vintage Earthy Green: Retro Metro Gloucester Road 7.5 x 15cm
A warm, earthy green metro tile with an authentic crackle glaze — Retro Metro Gloucester Road from Hyperion Tiles, your official Fired Earth stockist.
Inspired by the heritage tiling of London's Underground, Retro Metro pairs a thick, lustrous glaze with a deliberate crackle (crazing) that pools at the edges and catches the light. Gloucester Road sits between sage and bottle green — soft, organic and welcoming — making it a natural choice for botanical bathrooms, country-kitchen splashbacks and characterful feature walls.
The versatile 7.5 x 15cm brick format opens up brick-bond, herringbone and stack layouts. As a glazed ceramic wall tile it is for interior walls; we recommend sealing the crackle glaze before grouting to protect the crazing.

Installation & care
- Adhesive & Grout: Fix to interior walls with a flexible adhesive suitable for glazed ceramic, using a fine 2–3mm joint.
- Sealing: Seal the crackle glaze before grouting to stop grout pigment settling into the crazing, then seal again afterwards for a watertight finish.
- Cleaning: Wipe clean with warm water and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive pads. Test dark grout on a spare tile first, as it can emphasise the crazing.
Samples

Delivery
In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.
Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.
When your order arrives
Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.
Returns
Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Fired Earth ranges are returned through Fired Earth’s own returns process, and special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Once an order has been placed goods that are in stock, can normally be dispatched for delivery within 3-5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered.
