Organic Warmth: Pebble Beach Taupe

Create a foundation of calm and warmth with the Pebble Beach Taupe 120 x 60cm Tile—a substantial large-format porcelain that blends the character of terrazzo with the earthy tones of natural stone.

Inspired by the sedimentary rocks of the Italian coast, this tile features a sophisticated Taupe palette—a blend of warm grey and mushroom tones that feels softer and more inviting than concrete. The impressive 120cm x 60cm size allows you to minimize grout lines, creating a seamless, architectural flow across open-plan floors. Crafted from premium porcelain, it delivers the raw beauty of limestone without the maintenance, making it the ideal choice for modern family homes that value both style and practicality.

Installation & care

⚠️ Installation & care

  • Handling: These are large, heavy tiles (120cm length). Always plan for a two-person lift and ensuring your substrate is perfectly flat before starting.
  • Levelling System: To avoid "lippage" (uneven edges), you must use a tile levelling system (clips and wedges) during installation.
  • Grout Colour: For the Taupe shade, we recommend a warmer grout like Limestone, Beige, or a warm Grey to complement the earthy tones.
  • Underfloor Heating: Porcelain is a fantastic heat conductor. Always use a flexible (S1) adhesive to allow for expansion and contraction.
Samples

Tone, glaze and veining all read differently in your own light. Cut samples are free — sample postage is £4.99 (£8 for Original Style) and we refund it on tile orders over £50 with the code we email you. Our family-run team is happy to check quantities and finishes with you on 01344 620211.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Fired Earth ranges are returned through Fired Earth’s own returns process, and special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What colour is "Taupe"?

In the Pebble Beach range, Taupe is a warm, earthy neutral. It sits between grey and beige (greige), often described as mushroom or sandy grey. It brings more warmth to a room than a standard cool grey tile.

Is this suitable for outside?

Yes. The Pebble Beach range is frost-resistant and durable. You can lay it onto a concrete slab outside to create a seamless transition from your living room to your patio.

Does it look like real stone?

Yes. It uses high-definition printing to replicate the speckling and variation of natural Italian sedimentary stone. There is "slight variation" between tiles to ensure the floor looks authentic and not repetitive.

Is it slippery?

The tile has a Matt finish. While this offers better slip resistance than gloss tiles, for dedicated wet room shower areas (where you stand in the water), we recommend checking the specific 'R' rating with our team or using the smaller 60x30cm format for extra grout grip.

Why buy from Hyperion Tiles?
