Black Set Square Against Dover White
A 75mm chequerboard in Black and Dover White, cut small enough to make a narrow hall feel considered rather than crowded, from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.
Dover White is a softened, slightly warm white rather than a clinical one, and that single degree of warmth is what stops the Black reading as harsh. At 75mm the alternation happens quickly underfoot, giving a fine-grained rhythm that suits porches, boot rooms and the tighter Victorian hallway.
The colour is fired through the body of the tile rather than painted onto a glazed surface, so a chipped edge shows the same Black or the same Dover White as the face. The finish is matt throughout, and because these tiles are rated for exterior use the same chequer can begin at the garden gate and carry through the front door.

When your order arrives

Returns
To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Installation & care
- Setting Out: Dry-lay a square metre before fixing anything, and centre the chequer on the line your eye follows down the hall rather than on the doorway.
- Adhesive & Grout: Use a flexible cement-based adhesive over a sound, level bed; a mid-grey grout keeps the Black squares crisp without drawing a white grid across them.
- Sealing & Cleaning: These tiles are unglazed, so seal after laying and again once grouting is finished, then clean with a pH-neutral floor cleaner.

Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered.
