Part of the exquisite Dartmouth collection, Pewter Oak is designed for those who love the modern grey aesthetic but refuse to compromise on texture. The planks feature a cooling wash of pewter and silver hues, offering a sophisticated neutral base. However, look closer and you'll see a floor full of history: hand-scraped undulations and authentic saw marks give the surface a distressed, tactile finish that feels alive underfoot. Finished with a durable UV Oil, it is the perfect fusion of old-world craft and modern design.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

What is the wear layer?

It features a generous 4mm solid oak wear layer on top of a stable engineered core. This ensures the floor has the longevity of solid wood and can be sanded in the future if required (though sanding would remove the "beaten" texture).

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes, Woodpecker Flooring provides an exceptional 100-year warranty on this product, covering the structural integrity of the planks for a lifetime.

Is it suitable for pets?

Yes. The "Beaten" texture and Rustic grade make this floor incredibly forgiving. Scratches from pet claws tend to blend into the existing distressed character rather than standing out as damage.

Is it easy to clean?

Yes. Regular sweeping and a damp (not wet) mop with the appropriate Woodpecker cleaning solution is all that is needed. The oiled finish nourishes the wood and can be spot-repaired if necessary.

Is the plank wide?

Yes, this is a wide-plank floor. At 190mm wide, it is significantly broader than the standard 150mm Dartmouth plank (like the Beaten Oak), giving it a grander, more luxurious presence similar to the Stonehaven range.

What creates the texture?

The floor features a combination of hand-scraping (which creates a wavy, undulating surface) and saw marks (which look like cuts across the grain). This dual texture gives the floor a rugged, historic appearance full of personality.

s Pewter Oak grey or brown?

It is predominantly grey, but with warmth. It features soft ashen and silver tones rather than a flat, cold industrial grey. The natural oak underneath adds subtle warmth, preventing it from looking too stark.

Installation & Care Tips

⚠️ Installation & care

Installation Method: This T&G board allows for versatile installation: float over underlay (gluing joints), secret nail to a timber subfloor, or fully bond to the screed.
Underfloor Heating: Fully compatible with UFH. To ensure the best performance and board stability, the glue-down method is highly recommended.
Oiled Finish Care: The UV oil penetrates the wood to protect it. Regular cleaning with Woodpecker's specific oiled floor cleaner will nourish the timber and keep the pewter tones looking fresh.
Rustic Character: This floor is "Extra Rustic." Expect significant colour variation, large knots, and visible saw marks. This texture is intended to look aged and full of personality.
