Grey is the colour that lets joinery, brassware and a patterned border all read clearly at once, and this matt 298mm porcelain square delivers it as a full-room field, held in stock from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

On a floor it behaves like a good plaster colour on a wall: present, but not asking for attention. On a wall it takes reflected light without glare, which suits shower enclosures and splashbacks. Outdoors it weathers visually well, since dust and rain marks do not register against it the way they do on paler surfaces.

The tile is porcelain at 298 x 298 x 8mm with a matt face and a straight edge. Face area per piece is 0.0888m². Packs contain six tiles. Original Style's published rate is 11.11 tiles per square metre. Weather-exposed walls and floors are permitted, meaning a grey internal floor can be continued through a doorway onto a patio.

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

The modern porcelain construction of the Bolero tile is highly resilient and generally does not require sealing like traditional cement or encaustic tiles. However, we always recommend consulting the manufacturer's specific guidelines or testing a small area before grouting to ensure optimal protection and easy everyday maintenance.

Installation & care

Adhesive & Grout: Grey flexible adhesive keeps the background consistent beneath a grey tile. Use flexible grout, and an exterior-grade combination anywhere weather can reach.
Layout: Consider running the grid square to the longest wall rather than to the doorway, and mock up a metre or two on the floor before committing to the direction.
Cleaning: Seal ahead of any grouting work, then repeat that step after the residue has been washed back, as Original Style advise for this range. Routine care is neutral pH cleaner, warm water, no acids. Grit is the real enemy of any matt floor, so a doormat at the entrance does more good than any specialist product.
