A Heritage Chequerboard: Chequers Court 4.8cm Bevelled Mosaic
Crisp 4.8cm squares of genuine black and white marble with a bevelled edge — Chequers Court from Hyperion Tiles, your official Fired Earth stockist.
Named after the Prime Minister's country house, Chequers Court reimagines the timeless monochrome chequerboard in natural marble. The gently bevelled edges catch the light and lend a soft, hand-laid quality to hallways, entrances and bathroom floors.
Supplied on a 31.5 x 31.5cm sheet for straightforward setting, each piece is honed natural marble, so tone and veining vary from square to square. As a porous stone it should be sealed to protect against moisture and staining.

⚠ Installation & Care Tips
- Adhesive & Grout: Use a white, flexible adhesive and a soft grey or off-white grout. Seal the marble before grouting to prevent the pale squares picking up staining.
- Layout Options: Align sheets carefully to keep the chequerboard running true, with a fine 3mm joint. Shuffle sheets to blend natural variation.
- Cleaning: Clean with warm water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner, never acidic or bleach-based products. Re-seal periodically to keep the marble protected.

Delivery And Returns
Access Issues For Large Pallet Deliveries
Our delivery drivers may be prevented from delivering your order by the following:
• Low hanging trees and bridges.
• Narrow roads, gateways, or cars on either side of the road.
• No turning point for the delivery vehicle.
• Unfinished tracks and roads.
• Lack of solid and flat surface to unload.
• Gravel driveways.
If access issues are not advised and/or delivery cannot be made due to unattendance at delivery, a re-delivery charge may be applied.
Checking Orders
Check your delivery as soon as it arrives!
Once the goods are unloaded, they become the responsibility of the receiver.
If you notice any issues with your order, please contact us within three working days so we can resolve the problem quickly and efficiently. Prompt reporting helps us ensure your satisfaction with our products and services.
Fired Earth Tile Returns
Returns are accepted only for complete orders; partial orders cannot be accepted. To begin a return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your delivery.
All other Brands
You may return your items within 14 days of receiving or collecting your delivery. Please note that a restocking fee of 20% to 30% will apply, depending on the specific terms of the product range. For further details, feel free to contact us.

Shipping Information
Once an order has been placed goods that are in stock, can normally be dispatched for delivery within 3-5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered. A specific delivery date will be arranged to suit you.
