A Yellow Allowed In, And Held In Check
Blenheim brings Hawthorn Yellow into a ground of Chester Mews and Dover White, and the proportion is everything, because yellow in a Victorian floor works only when it is rationed from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.
Chester Mews is the putty tone that refuses to be simply grey, and it is what lets a yellow into the scheme at all. Against that mid tone, Hawthorn Yellow reads as warmth rather than as brightness, and Dover White keeps the whole arrangement open instead of letting it turn heavy.
Each of the three shades lives in the clay of a matt 9mm vitrified tile, with no glaze above it. Exterior floors are permitted, which means a scheme like this can run from a garden room onto the terrace without the yellow behaving differently once it is outdoors.

When your order arrives
Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.
Returns
To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Installation & care
- Setting Out: Dry-lay two full repeats and look at them from the doorway, since yellow reads considerably stronger at a distance than it does in your hand.
- Adhesive & Grout: Flexible cement-based adhesive and a neutral grey joint, which lets the yellow keep its proper weight instead of being pushed forward by a pale grout.
- Sealing & Cleaning: Unglazed, so seal after laying and drying, then keep to a neutral cleaner which will not dull the Chester Mews.

Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered.
