Fixing advice
- Showers and wet rooms: use a water-resistant or epoxy grout and tank the substrate behind the tile.
- Sealing: glazed ceramic and porcelain generally do not need sealing; check the product specification and the grout instructions.
- Estimates are a planning guide: joint width, tile size, trowel and substrate all change the final quantity. Confirm the fixing system with your installer, or call us on 01344 620211.

Product story
Timeless Heritage Elegance: Ca' Pietra Alfriston Clergy Ceramic Shallow Water
Bring a sense of historic charm and unparalleled elegance to your walls with the Ca' Pietra Alfriston Clergy Ceramic Shallow Water Tile, a premium decorative tile designed to create a captivating focal point in any room.
Part of the exclusive National Trust Tile Collection, this design echoes the storied past of Alfriston Clergy House, the very first property acquired by the National Trust in 1896. The Shallow Water colourway showcases a serene, calming blue tone adorned with an intricate, vintage wallpaper-style pattern that perfectly captures the essence of bringing the outdoors in. Crafted from high-quality 10mm thick Ceramic in a versatile 33.3x55cm rectangular format, these tiles feature a unique tactile surface created by combining a soft Satin base with a gloss screen print. This artisanal manufacturing process allows for natural variations and subtle misprints, which are intentional and considered a hallmark of their authentic, handcrafted appeal. Designed specifically for internal walls, they offer a refined sophistication that complements both traditional and modern interiors.

Delivery
In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.
Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.
When your order arrives
Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Installation & Care Tips
Installation & care
- Suitability: Please note that these ceramic tiles are designed exclusively for Interior Walls. They are not suitable for use on floors or external applications.
- Adhesive & Grout: We recommend using a high-quality flexible tile adhesive. A crisp white or soft grey grout will beautifully frame the Shallow Water tone and highlight the traditional pattern.
- Maintenance: This glazed ceramic tile is completely non-porous. It does not require sealing and can be easily maintained by wiping it down with a soft cloth and standard mild household cleaners.
- Artisanal Characteristics: Due to their handcrafted, vintage-inspired nature, subtle misprints and natural shade variations are to be expected and should be celebrated as part of their unique, handmade charm.
If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us. We'll get back to you as soon as possible, within 24 hours on weekdays.
