Are the Ca'Pietra Victorian Style tiles suitable for hallways?

Absolutely. Hallways and entrance porches are the most traditional locations for Victorian geometric floors. Because these tiles are crafted from highly durable porcelain, they are exceptionally hardwearing, making them perfectly suited to handle the heavy foot traffic, muddy shoes, and everyday demands of a busy family entrance.

What does a "pre-scored" tile mean?

A pre-scored tile is manufactured with a shallow grid of grooves cut into the surface. The 28x28cm Victorian Style tiles are laid just like standard large-format tiles. However, once laid, your installer sweeps grout into all the grooves across the surface. This visually divides the large slab, creating the highly convincing illusion of many tiny, individual mosaic tiles.

Do these porcelain Victorian tiles require sealing?

No. Unlike traditional unglazed Victorian clay tiles, which are highly porous and require intensive stripping, sealing, and waxing, this collection is manufactured from non-absorbent porcelain. They naturally repel moisture and dirt, requiring absolutely no specialist sealing. We do, however, recommend using a pre-grout barrier during installation to protect the matt surface from grout residue.

Can I use the Victorian Style porcelain outdoors?
