Are the Ca'Pietra Petite porcelain tiles suitable for floors?

Yes. Despite their delicate, decorative appearance, both the Matt and Gloss options are manufactured from high-density porcelain, making them structurally sound for domestic interior floors. They are an excellent, highly practical choice for creating striking geometric floors in bathrooms, cloakrooms, and smaller hallways.

Can I use the Petite collection in a shower enclosure?

Absolutely. The non-porous nature of the porcelain body makes the entire Petite collection highly water-resistant. When installed with a suitable waterproof adhesive and grout, these tiles provide a stunning, easy-to-clean, and incredibly durable surface perfectly suited for shower walls and wet room environments.

Do these porcelain brick tiles require sealing?

No. The Petite collection requires absolutely zero maintenance. Unlike genuine handmade clay tiles which are highly porous, these tiles are made from fully glazed porcelain. They act as a permanent barrier against moisture and everyday stains, and do not require any specialist sealing treatments either before or after installation.

How many tiles do I need per square metre?

Because of their slender 5x15cm dimensions, you will need approximately 133.3 tiles to cover one square metre. They are conveniently supplied in boxes of 60 tiles, with each box providing coverage of approximately 0.45m². We always recommend ordering an additional 10% to allow for cuts, breakages, and pattern matching.

Can I mix the different colours and finishes?

Yes. Because the entire Petite collection is manufactured to the exact same 5x15cm dimensions, you can seamlessly mix the different colourways and finishes together. Combining complementary shades, or mixing a Matt finish with a Gloss finish in the same colour, is a fantastic way to create a highly bespoke, tactile feature wall.
