Yes. The Komodo collection includes a dedicated 20mm thick, textured porcelain paving option specifically engineered for exterior use. These robust 60x90cm slabs are completely frost-proof and offer excellent slip resistance, making them ideal for garden patios, pathways, and swimming pool surrounds.

Do these slate-effect porcelain tiles require sealing?

No. Unlike genuine natural slate, which is highly porous and requires regular sealing to prevent stains and water damage, the Komodo tiles are made from glazed porcelain. They are completely non-absorbent and do not require any specialist sealing before or after installation, offering an incredibly low-maintenance surface.

Can I use the Komodo collection in a shower enclosure?

Absolutely. The non-porous nature of the porcelain makes the 10mm indoor tiles completely water-resistant, and the smooth matt surface is incredibly easy to wipe clean. This makes the collection a spectacular, highly practical choice for creating a striking, tropical feature wall inside a shower or wet room.

Can I install these large-format tiles with underfloor heating?

Yes. Porcelain is a superb thermal conductor. The interior Komodo tiles are fully compatible with both electric and water-based underfloor heating systems, ensuring your stone-effect floors remain wonderfully warm and comfortable throughout the year.

What is the best laying pattern for the 60x120cm indoor tiles?

Due to the manufacturing process of large-format porcelain, there can be a slight, natural "bow" in the center of the tiles. To minimize any "lipping" (where one edge sits slightly higher than the adjacent tile), it is highly recommended to lay them either in a straight stack (joints aligned square) or staggered by no more than one-third of the tile length, avoiding a traditional 50:50 brick-bond pattern.
